She was old and getting sick often. Trips to the vet typically cost $200 for little info, a steroid shot and antibiotics...and she was good for about 6 months. Here she is TEMPORARILY sleeping.model A help 503.jpg I took her in this time for an eye infection that wasn't healing. Blood work showed many ills that I don't care to remember. Anemia, kidney problems, etc. She has been doing almost nothing but sleeping, and oozing pus from her eye for days. A number of times she has peed in my bed while sleeping with me! The kidney problems probably explain that. After an antibiotic shot, she shortly thereafter, jumped off the table, howeled a few times, then collapsed on the floor and breathed heavy. she didn't return to normal for over 30 minutes. After thinking LONG & HARD. I decided to have her put to sleep. It was more money on top of money thrown away...but I didn't expect her to make it through the night. Last thing I wanted to do was to let her suffer to save money!
I was going to work on my arrangeball machine tonight. All I have been able to do is dig a grave...and drink!

A stray cat who was obviously a HOUSE PET that was abandoned outside. I met he about 10 years ago, BEGGING to come inside. I didn't want to scoop a litter box, so I fed her on the poch...and blocked her attempts to get inside. Every day when I came home from work, I would find a dead mouse or two on my welcome mat. I would see her attack mice. Her attack paralized 1/2 of the mouse, and it ran in circles. One day while working on my car, she had a mouse running in circles on the porch. Later, when going inside for more tools, she had a mouse in the yard (some distance away) running in circles. I knew he could not have made it there on his own! As I crossed the porch...there was the other mouse...still running in circles! I said to myself, "I see your resum'e...and YOU ARE HIRED!" I bought her a litterbox and food bowl that day! She has kept my house mouse free for almost 10 years! And I live about 100 yards from the Great Miami river! This year has been the 1st year I have ever seen a live mouse in my house! I got them pretty bad...and had to resort to many traps to get them under control. Crybaby had OFFICIALLY RETIRED! She occasionally got excited over a mouse...but most often, she would hear them...and just ignore them. I didt blame her...she has done a great ob over the years! I am going to miss her!
Now I am WALKING to the store for more beer to drown my sorrow!

never considered myself a cat person.. i always prefered a dog.. my wife is a hard core cat lover and for the lat 14 years i have been surrounded by cats.. they have come and gone in our live's and change who i am.. it is amazing how different they each are with there sometimes strange personality's.. when i first met her (Mrs Mopar) she had an orange tabby that acted like a dog.. he would even play fetch..

cats are amazing and i understand your loss

Sorry to hear about your pal. It's only been a couple weeks since we put Muffy down, but I still want to buy all those doggy treats at the store every time I pass the aisle. I keep looking around hoping to see her in the yard too, but know it's not going to happen. Losing your pets is like losing one of the family. Cheers to your buddy!
