    Default Few restorations

Just wanted to post a few restorations that we have finished or are still working on.

The first one is a late 1970 Nishijin Front Overflow we finished a few months ago. We decided to go and build a basic wall or tabletop cabinet for it and it came out pretty nice.

The next one is an Early 1970 Nishijin Front Overflow that we just finished restoring for an elderly couple who were giving it to their son. This one came out looking great and we really wish we could have kept it. It was fun to play even though it has only 2 tulips.

The last one is one we are still in the process of (too long) and we are getting close to done, so I thought I'd post it.

Well just this morning this great looking 1971 Nishijin model A Osaka (easter egg) walked out the door.

The owner wanted to go back to stock so we scanned in the background and printed a new one out. We also went back to what the stain color would have been. We ended up painting the inside of the frame black because they used some latex paint to try to match the stain but it looked bad and wouldn't come completely out. We even scanned in the instructions for how to play and put it back on where it was (got a few copies left if anyone wants one.) All in all it came out looking pretty good and we have had it long enough (since september last year. )
