another dumb question on LOTR

Sorry for this question because Im probably an idiot since I already have another Pachinco machine that works fine.
My last question was answered perfectly and I was excited to get home from dinner and play. But now that I have used my machine for a little bit I have another problem.
Balls got shot up to playfield perfectly and once in awhile(much less often then my other machine) they enter the main chute which spins the reals. I would assume each time u get a ball in the main chute you are suppose to get a few balls from the hopper. However, my machine is not delivering any balls whatsoever. I know that there is a brass hinge on the hopper which I can release ,then the balls go straight to the bottom of the machine. Is there a certain lever that I need to move in order to send payoffs? That Brass hinge need to be up and the ball should fill the the ball counter, not go out to the tray in back.
Sounds like your dump ball level is in gaged.

But i do not think this is the problem. I took out the motor drive assembly on the bottom right that shoots the winners into the front tray. I palyed the game and even with no balls in the motor it does not turn when I get a ball in the payoff hole. Do u think the motor is bad? At least I know its not jammed. Thanks for all your kindness. It will be great when I get this machine working correctly. Al

Tulsa was have the same prob. and he found the drive off center.
PM him and ask what he did.

I opened up that plastic case and reseated all the cogs inside. Something must have just shifted a bit during it's voyage across the ocean. Anyway with no balls in place dropping on into a payout slot you could see it spin so you knew it was working fine. Just once the balls were in place something wasn't moving quite right and causing it to jam. Reseating fixed everything and it's working perfectly now. This was a Sankyo model fever king.

Very interesting - I am having the same problem with my Fever King. I will give the reseating a try. Thanks for the advice!

Also with SANKYO after a problem, Try a Hard reset: Hold in the black button and than turn on the machine, hold in for a few seconds, than release.
You shouls show a "-" in the read out on the back.

Fever The King Error Display

- No abnormality
1 Main board signal not yet connected
2 Pay-out unit abnormality
3 Pay-out count switch abnormality
4 Pay-out motor space cut off or balls jammed
5 Main board signal abnormality
6 Full tank
7 Balls cut off (out of balls)
8 Prepaid card unit not yet connected
9 Prepaid card unit abnormality


Not a good translation but maybe better than nothing.

Yes...Yes...Yes...

I was almost ready for suicide. I think I am getting as obsessed as you guys. Well, just for your info... I took out the ball dispenser and opened it up. The gears seemed to be working fine. Then I was stumped. But when I did all this stuff I possibly dislodged a jam. Becuse when I reinstalled it I got the number 7 on the display. I ran back to my computer and saw Arbys post which said 7 meant out of balls. So I filled up the hopper again and played the machine. I was doubting that it would work. But to my suprise when I finally got it in the hole balls stated coming out. Thanks alot guys.
I was ready to fly one of you guys in to Florida to help me out. But that wont be needed anymore. SORRY! Now I got two working pachinkos. Thanks to the Pachinko Forum. Thanks again, Al

First of all....Dolphin (not the mammal) are really running strong this time of year. And when prepared correcly they are awfully good. And also, u would not have needed plane tickets I would have a Gulf Steam V pick up at your local airport LOL. No amount of generosity is too much to a Pachino man.Sorry I will not get to meet u. The pachinko balls have more of a pattern then the ancient drivers down here. Its actually amazing driving in South Florida. A real danger!!!
