    Default LOTR recieved today...plunger prob.

    Hey there,

Just got my 2nd pachinko machine earlier today from UPS. You guys probably saw it on ebay about 2 weeks ago in the purple cabinet. I unpacked it right away. It was pack fairly well but the cabinet seperated from the machine. No problem I can fix that. Everything works on start up...video,lights,sound.
Its better than I thought it would be. The only problem that I have besides the cabinet being all torn up is: The shooter does not work at all. I made sure all the wires were seated well. I also moved a platic lever on the bottom all the way to the right and all the way to the left...no help. I emailed the guy that sold it to me and he said to check the wires and unplug and replug some of the wires to the bottom right of the machine which I did. That was no help either. I am bummed out since it is such a sweet machine and I can't use it.
Any suggestions would be welcomed. And if I can not fix it is there any pachinko experts near Delray or Boca, Fl. Thanks in advance. I cant wait to play this machine, in the meantime I will repair the cabinet. Thanks for listening to me vent.

Sounds like you might be missing the key (dongle) that plugs in the back to I believe it is a rs232 port? On my Pachinko it is a gray removable plug. If you have this plugged in then you may not be holding the shooter knob correctly as you have to make finger contact (at least on mine you do) with the outer flat metal ring that encircles the entire shooter knob at the same time you are turning the shooter to shoot. If not those then I havent a clue...

some machine require a dongle to play,

it may have fallen loose or be in the box,

it looks like a rs32 computer plug and plugs in the back of the machine

You guys are the best. Yes there was a key??? in the box but I had no clue what it was for. As soon as I saw your post I jumped and got that KEY. I then found where to put it(that is always the tough part) and then I grabbed the handle and WaLa!!!
Too bad I have to go out now for dinner. But u can bet when I get home I will be doing some serious pachinko. Thanks Again!!! Al

    Hello everybody,

I've the same problem with new sea story pachinko pachine.
the shooter seems dead, but now that u talked about that dongle i'm curious.
Exactly what is a dongle, can anyone post a pic please?
The guy who sold me that pachinko is japanese and does not talk (worst than me) english so i cannot understand the way he's trying to help me out repairing my machine.
My only hope are u guys with this "dongle" thing hehe

What it's real name is "Card Reader By-pass" this allows you to play the machine without a card reader attached.

Three different looks of the same plug

you should have a similar female connector on the back of your machine, if it has a dongle already in try unplugging it and plugging it back in.

it may have loosend up it moving it around.

or maybe it fell off somewhere

Have you checked all connections to that shooter motor? Unplug and re-plug?
Trace that set of wires, and do the same where it connects to the circuit boards.
Also, there is a metal ring... or some sort of metal contact on the shooter that you MUST be touching when you turn the knob... or it will not fire. Kind of like those "touch on, touch off" lamps.
Finally, there is a pause button... either on the side of the knob, or somewhere near it on the case. If this button is pushed in... or stuck in... it disables the shooter. It's normally used for controlled single shot shooting.
The buttons you speak of are for parlor interface... to call for an attendant, etc.
    Good luck! Hope this helps!
