    Default Bellco Double Up just dings

    I am new to slots and have a Bellco Double Up machine. It was working fine for about 6 months (required a couple of simple resets) and then it started making a noise, a repeated ding dong type noise.

    I also found a lever on the coin track inside the door that looks to be operated with magnetism. When it is closed the coins travel down and into the container, when it is open the coins fall through and back into the tray. Guessing something is not telling it to close. The machine lights up most of the way. The top lights only come on with it ding/dongs.

    I've tried everything Anyone have a any ideas?

    The Ding Dong on the Bellco machines usually means there is a trouble code OR the door is open. Are you able to use the reset to silence the alarm or is there an error code displayed on the front of the machine?
    A token for your thoughts???

    When I turn it on and closed the door, within 20 seconds the ding sounds and there appears to be a "Cr" on the Win display, 00 in the credit and nothing in the hit count. I open the door and no change. I tried using the key and turning to the left as a possible reset process. No change.

    Have you ever tried the full complete 'hard' reset?

    here are the usual instructions, just in case:

    "Here is some info that explains how to reset a pachislo, as part of this process it includes how to change and set the skill level, you must follow all steps carefully

    "How To Set the Skill Levels of Your Pachislo
    HOW CHANGE ODDS:

    "TURN YOUR MACHINE OFF FIRST"

    1. Locate internal key switch, and insert key.
    Note: In order to change odds, machine must be in idle mode with no tokens/coins or credits being played and off.

    2. Turn "reset" key switch to on, to access programming mode.

    3. Turn on machine now.

    4. Depending on machine type, a number from 1 to 6 will be displayed on one of the LED meters on front door. (please note on some models the numbers could be displayed inside the machine)

    5. Locate and push Skill button. Depress button and notice movement of number being displayed in LED meter.

    6. Once desired level is displayed (1 to 6), push down on play handle (Joy Stick) for 10 seconds, and depress both "BET CREDITS" and "COLLECT CREDITS" buttons to lock odds level into machine memory.

    7. Turn "reset" key back to off.

    8. Machine should immediately initialize. If not, turn power switch to the OFF position, wait 15 seconds and turn power switch back to ON position.

    Also just to confirm some additional info (from member Chrisdice) regarding hard reset

    Two switches on the power supply:
    - One requires a soft reset at the end of a bonus.
    - The other pays out all tokens at the end of a bonus.

    For these switches in most cases off is in the down or right position. The for off and on are:

    無 = off

    有 = on

    Thanks, I tried that and no difference. Wish I knew what Cr code meant. I think coin return error but I can't see anything wrong with the passage way for the coins coming in.

    Sorry, I'm not 100% on what the error codes are as they can vary from manufacturer to manufacturer

    a lot of the 'C' codes relate to 'coin' I think? ('H' codes to hopper, etc)

    Presume you are using normal pachislo tokens? are some of them slightly different or bent or jamming in the machine?

    I don't have any Bellco branded pachislos myself, so perhaps other members can offer suggestions too

    I think Cr is a faulty coin/token acceptor. Probably either a faulty or dirty photocell in the acceptor unit. Try cleaning them with a soft q-tip. But only apply a little pressure. Also worth a try to see if there are any LEDs on the board the illuminate go out when a token passes through.

    A "CR" error code means Coin Register. In other words there is a problem reading the coin.

    There are 2 photo sensors that register the token. If the token passes to slowly or stops in front of the sensors then you will get this error code. You can also get a "CR" error code if the connection for the coin mechanism or sensors is unplugged.

    A "Hard reset" should clear the code. After cleaning the sensors and your connections are good. You still have the error code, most likely the problem is that your sensors are bad.
    What if...the HOKEY POKEY, is what it's all about?
