I'm the one who was dying to get one. Luckily, I was able to pick one up from a forum member, but I believe I see an issue with the machine above.

At times there is a grid that slides out to simulate a bank of monitors on the screen. I've highlighted the piece below. Light purple is what's showing in the pic, dark purple is what the whole piece looks like.

On mine the same side seems to get stuck occasionally and doesn't slide out properly unless it is a full screen animation instead of half screen. In the pic in the auction it appears that piece is jammed open. When the machine is powered off you should not see that piece.

Good call. Might be nothing or might be a fault, I had a machine once delivered that had shoji screens that slide out and cover the screen. But one of the screens was already out when it arrived. Turning the power on, rest the motors and its been fine ever since
