Default Volume controls...NOT for the faint of heart!

I decided to put volume controls on Biohazard. The bottom ones are easy, SO EASY that it is not worth pics. However the top two TINY speakers are so loud that adjusting bottom speakers only...doesn't really make a difference. So, I started taking it apart...starting with the monitor.DSCF8209.JPG Easy enough, 2 screws and some wires.DSCF8210.JPGAs I'm unplugging and labeling wires, and removing screws...it becomes painfully obvious that everything will have to be removed, starting with the door.DSCF8218.JPG Followed by EVERYTHING on the door. Including, but not limited to:the spin knob, the max bet button, single bet button. coin acceptor, etc.

You have to undo all of that, just to get to the terminals of the speakers?

Reassembled door and attatched leads to an L-pad. Doesn't work right! Changes the tone...but not volume! With the yellow wires disconnrcted they should be off...but they still play! I switched to potentiometers instead...still not right! I may have to take it apart again!DSCF8233.JPGDoor with wires installed, ready to be put back on. Getting to them was hard...but I expected it to work when put back together. Can't test it until reassembled! Once reassembled...don't work right! Will have to take apart again, NOT looking forward to it!
