Default Need Help Identifying Pachislo Machine-Fortune Wheel

I was just presented with a pachislo by the name of Fortune Wheel to repair. First of all, I am not an expert on these machines but I am not afraid of tearing something apart to fix it. I received my first machine last year, Bar Seven, and since I did get it running perfectly, my friend thinks Im an expert now. The Fortune Wheel machine is his. He bought it for $40, non-working, but lighting up. Who ever he got it from said that all it needed was to be reset, yeah right. I know its a newer machine since the lights that ring the door are LED's. Right now, when turned on, all of the lights that ring the front door are on a steady pulsing. It seems to me that it is locked up on a jackpot or bonus.

I tested all of the operational buttons and their corresponding leds on the boards are illuminating. I have tried resetting but it stays frozen. It will not register any coin drops but the leds flicker on the board when a coin passes. I've reseated all connectors and played around as much as I can.

Any info on this model and/or any suggestions on potential issues would be appreciated. Thanks -Steve

    Hello

Sorry I'm not familiar with the name 'Fortune Wheel', do you know the manufacturer?

It will probably be best if you could upload some pics of the pachislo, so that the members can identify it and offer more specific advice to you

Never trust the belly glass if it has a common saying or theme like Las Vegas, Elvis or such like, as some machines get rebranded to ty and look more appealing than one with Japanese text.

A picture of the machine would be helpful, as well as any unusual symbols on the reels that don't fit in with the traditional cherrys, bars and bells

I have attached a few pictures including some symbols from the reels. I think Drukenclam is correct about it being rebranded. The belly glass label is actually a vinyl adhesive sticker with its backing on and sandwiched between clear plastic.photo 3.jpgphoto 1.jpgphoto 2.jpg

This machine had a large LCD screen. Sometimes these screens are still working and just disconnected. It would probably be interesting to see if the screen is still there.

I suspected something was up with the reel window. It is not clear, looks more like a film with a dot matrix approx 1/4" apart. Was the LCD screen in front of the reels?

Gonna go open up the door right now. Just saw the video and the machine is amazing...It seems that the LCD screen is still there, just covered up by a vinyl adhesive sign. That would explain the belly glass sign being an adhesive label. I also notice some possible missing pieces. On the inside of the door, above the reel window, are 4 clips that I would suspect hold a wire(s), they are empty. Also immediately above the window is some discoloration of the white plastic, similar to fluorescent light discoloration. There looks to be a bulb holder at each end, but again, nothing.

Hoping someone with this machine could snap a picture of the door insides so I could compare.

You guys are great, Spent the last few days racking my brain then after a post, within a couple of hours, I'm back on track. THANKS!

photo 6.jpgphoto 7.jpgSeems like the LCD screen is still there, just covered with a vinly sign. This would explain the self adhesive sign in the belly glass with the backing still in place. I think I'm missing some items though, I'm pointing at what I think was a fluorescent bulb. Notice the discoloration along with the clips at either end. Also notice the four wire holders molded into the white plastic cover. I suspect it held wires or something.

Just want to say thanks to all who, in 4 hrs, have helped me on my journey with this project. I searched the web for the last three days and got nothing then remembered this site. I hope someone who has this machine could snap a pic of the interior to see what I am missing. Thanks again -Steve

Don't forget to do a full reset, It looks like the odds key has been replaced with the toggle switch

"How To Set the Skill Levels of Your Pachislo
    HOW CHANGE ODDS:

    "TURN YOUR MACHINE OFF FIRST"

    1. Locate internal key switch, and insert key. (Your silver toggle switch)
Note: In order to change odds, machine must be in idle mode with no tokens/coins or credits being played and off.

    2. Turn "reset" switch to on, to access programming mode.

    3. Turn on machine now.

    4. Depending on machine type, a number from 1 to 6 will be displayed on one of the LED meters on front door. (please note on some models the numbers could be displayed inside the machine)

    5. Locate and push Skill button. Depress button and notice movement of number being displayed in LED meter.

    6. Once desired level is displayed (1 to 6), push down on play handle (Joy Stick) for 10 seconds, and depress both "BET CREDITS" and "COLLECT CREDITS" buttons to lock odds level into machine memory.

    7. Turn "reset" switch back to off.

    8. Machine should immediately initialize. If not, turn power switch to the OFF position, wait 15 seconds and turn power switch back to ON position.

Looks like a tube holder, It may or maynot have had one, They have a habit of using parts for different machines, If you can do a video search using the machine name, You might get some home or parlour footage, and see if you can see a glow from a tube, Also, you want to try and see where the screen has been disconnected,
