those are ultrabright LEDs from cointaker in warm white. regular white has a bluish cast to it and doesn't look right at all on en EM. you can use either the warm white ones or colored ones to match the inserts and the results are great. particularly since many of these old inserts have dulled over the years. i use color specific ones and it makes the colors richer. if you put in the word "pinside" in the coupon section when ordering, they deduct 10%

    ULTRA BRIGHTS, pinball leds

That's the link to the ultra brights which come in a bunch of colors. I buy those and the super bright flex LEDs that have a flexible neck to direct the light where you want it. I use those for the inserts that originally had a bulb mounted parallel with the plane of the playfield instead of a bulb shining directly into the insert. They work great and allow you to get nice, bright light thru the insert lens.

Got some more LEDs in for the 2 yellow inserts at the top of the playfield and so to illuminate the 4 red star rollovers. The pic shows the orientation of the original bulbs. This mounting style is used in tight confines but only a portion of light makes it thru the insert. The second pic shows the yellow LEDs installed with flex necks that now direct light directly up thru the insert.
