Talking Going to Japan in the next 3-4 months, any suggestions?

So it looks like I will be going to Japan in the next few months. I have a loose idea of plans this far out but I'd love to hear suggestions on the best places to go, best parlors to check out, and anything other suggestions! I cant wait! There will be tons of pics!

Not sure exactly where but a few hours south east of tokyo by train. If I do only 3 things I want to see a shrine, the giant Gundam, and a pachinko parlor.

From what I hear, you'll be able to check the pachinko parlor off your list less than a few minutes after you arrive!

And then again five minutes later, and again, and again, and again until you've had enough to satisfy the rest of us who'll want to hear everything about your trip.

You should go to Ueno. It is the pachinko capital. It is very cool to walk by company HQs and see the new machines. Plus you can see the worlds largest pachinko ball outside of Ueno station.

    100 machines and counting...

But DC, they don't allow picture taking in those clubs. Neither at the Onsen. So how are we going to enjoy the stories Sandruu will tell us, without visual stimulus?

I would love to go on a tour of a Pachinko company. To see how they determine the playfield and gameplay, create the art and gadgets, record the sound and video, code the software and test the odds, manufacture the components, assemble the machines, and finish it up with attendance to a Gala Premier Party of a new machine. (There might be Bunny girls there DC )

    Yeah, that would be cool.

One time I went to Japan, I had a wish fulfilled and was in the audience of a game show (that I watched for years in the US).

If possible, I would want to ride that high-speed MagLev train. Go to the top of the new Tokyo Tower. Go to those weird things that are only in Japan. Like that giant Gundam pachino ball, and if he is still around, Godzilla. And definitely rent a cool Kei-car to drive around.

    Have fun!

hidden pin hole camera I'm sure if I went the visual stimulation would be enough to burn its way into my retinas. Giving me a lasting reminder, Failing that the 6 months with the divorce lawyers will.

I got back last week and I am still processing all that I saw. It was amazing! Arcades and pachinko/pachislo parlors everywhere! I expected more then normal amount but they are all over. It was great!

No big winner stories but it was fan to play! $_$ I was able to self teach myself how to pay, get the credits on a card to swap machines, and get change off card. It was hard then I thought but I picked it up quick. They have guide/pamphlets for each machine to take so I have a stack of over 30. So cool! Tons of pics but hard to post them on here. I played the 3 main pachinko machines I wanted to play... Gundam, Berserk, and Slayers. ^_^

Playing the coin dozer games in arcades were fun! They were great but no pay off but more metals, did not stop me from dumping hours in it. LOL! I won plenty of figures in the crane games too.
