Not sure what the pricing is going to be, but I am positive that several Tom & Jerry machines should be available for sale in the US fairly soon. (Possibly this week)

Maybe. But for all of us in the rest of the world. We don't much of a chance to get newer pachis. If no one goes for this one. I might go for it to resale to the UK/Europe market.

Ended at ¥3100 but all bids/auction cancelled. So I guess the seller did a deal with someone.

Don't you just hate that? Its like:
"Hey, I'm following the rules, I'm bidding like everyone else. I am willing to pay you $x right now, but I want to play fair so I am following the rules. Somebody else might be willing to pay you $x+1 but they are being fair too, following the rules. So we gotta wait until the end to see who gets it."

But no-oo-oooo (think John Belushi), somebody else, thinks to skirt the rules, contacts the seller and says: "Hey, why bother waiting for the auction to end, I'll give you $x-10." and the seller, being unethical, (sorry, it is unethical to offer goods for sale, have persons legally commit to purchase, and then back out of the contract without mutual agreement), says "ok"

It just ticks me off. (can you tell?)

A few years back, on a Monday, I saw a craigslist motorcycle for sale $2000 in the town my sister lives in. I called the guy up, and told him that I would buy the motorcycle for his price, but since I was not there, my sister would come by with a $100 deposit. I would pay the rest and pick up the motorcycle on the weekend. He agreed and we exchanged phone numbers and etc.
Later that day, my sister phoned me to tell me they would not take the money. She said it took a while to get the information out of them, but someone offered them $2100 for the motorcycle, but that person had not picked up the bike yet.

So, the seller's ethics were bought for $100.

I wonder if the seller did get that extra $100, or was it the plan of the buyer to remove his competition through the seller by pulling this tactic? The seller tells potential buyers the motorcycle has been sold, because he believes he will be getting $2100 for it. With everyone turned off or turned away by this seller, could the buyer now offer a lower price, say $1800 because he was the only person still interested?

I don't want to get into a discussion of ethics (I just needed to vent), but here is an interesting anecdote.

Winston Churchill (Prime Minister of England) was at a state dinner, and a rather crass woman was annoying him. He quietly asked the woman: "My lady, if I were to offer you a million pounds (money) to have sex with me, would you?" (Churchill was married and the furthest from being a stud)
The woman thought for a moment, believing the offer was valid: "For a million pounds? I'd have a go with you."
Churchill inquired further: "Would you do it for a shilling?" (about a nickel)
The woman retorted: "I should say not, what do you take me for?"
Churchill snapped back: "Madam, that has already been determined. We are now just negotiating a price."
