    Default Macine Identification help

Hi all. New to the gaming machines but was in a thrift store one day and ran across two pachinko machines that looked some what complete to my untrained eye and after haggling with the owner I got them both for $15. For some reason I this one really calls to me. I like it a lot. Maybe someone can get me an idea of year, make and model. The other was fairly new maybe 80's or a bit newer. Everything is in Japanese so I cannot read it.

    Thanks all for any help

nice looking machine.. post a close up of the stickers in the lower right hand corner.. if there is a date it will be there.. but by the way it looks i would say its a late 70's machine.. guessing at 77 or so

looks like it should work.. but looks like some one cut the end off the wiring and also looks like the track cover is missing.. did ya get any Pachinko balls with them???

    and of course

Nice looking Maruhon! I have one,,,but it is missing the yellow center jackpot cover. Does yours have the hieroglyphics on it as well? Looked unusual on a Japanese machine. look closely at the top tray on the back. Does it look like it has been replaced? I was under the impression that all Maruhons had yellow trays. Mine was broken.

    to Pachitalk!

Nice looking Maruhon you got there. I think it is about 1971-72 build year if I recall right. Those are very interesting model machines they really had a space age looking front to them. Sounds like you also got quite a deal on it.

If there is anything other questions you have just ask.

    -Max

Also where exactly is somewhere located? I can't seem to find it on my map.

    100 machines and counting...

Mine does not seem to have the hieroglyphics cover but based on the pics you showed mine does have etched images all over it but not sure where that cover should go on mine. Maybe if you post a pic of where it would be located I might see if the cover is missing or never there on mine. As for the top tray it seems to fit there like it is stock. It molds over the left side of where the track(? feed) connects. It had 5 balls with japanese symbols on them.

Also I noticed more labels I had previously not lol. Oh and I am near Sacramento

I fabricated a replacement from a Nishijin parts machine. Yours may have had a similar modification. More on what clues to look fore here: 2 new vintages!

They are on the main body of the back cover, removable only if doing a complete restoration or a VERY thorough cleaning...not functional without it.As seen in this VERY DIRTY pic before I cleaned it up. I never removed it, I just cleaned it the best I could with it still on. I have only had this one Maruhon, and am not sure how common it is. Not sure if Max's machine has them or not.

The first one is the tax sticker that told when it was to be removed. It isn't in the traditional format. My guess your machine was built right around 71-72. The second one just basically says where the wood came from (I think. Been a while since I translated it.) Last one I think is just for the final makers approval; that one I never really have checked into.

It could have been in use in any of the Japanese Pachinko Parlours really.

I don't think I've seen one with a sticker identifying a particular Parlour?

Yeah the stickers never said which parlor it was going to or from.
