Default New to the Forum and Looking for Parts...

    Forum Members:

I'm a new member and wanted to introduce myself. While not "new" to the hobby I'm a bit of a novice and still on the lower end of the learning curve. I have a really nice Heiwa machine from the mid-1970s that I purchased from a friend about 10 years ago (fully functional and in excellent condition), a Nishijin Shiroi Kamone (mid-70s?) with an interchangeable playing field that is (now) fully functional but still undergoing elements of restoration, and a single shot Tokai Bussan (1960?) that is in the mid-stage of restoration.

I have found this forum (discovered Saturday) to be very informative in so many ways. Thanks!

Now comes the grovelling: For the Tokai Bussan I need a ball (feeder) tray. The one that came with the machine is broken and split down the middle. I have retained it, but I cannot see making it functional again. Does anyone have one they would be willing to sell?

I'm in the US Foreign Service currently stationed in Mexico. Any deliveries to me go to Texas then are forwarded to me, so don't sweat any foreign delivery issues.

I look forward to working with everyone.

    Mike

    to Pachitalk!

first off can you do us a favor and post some pictures of your machine and the tray in question. Different brand machines have slightly different tray and I haven't heard of that brand so I have no clue what it looks like.

If you have any other questions just ask.

    Hi Mike

I agree, pics would be a good idea, so members can see the particular type of part that is required.

We do have some very knowledgeable members here and they may be able to advise on other options, such as a repair if the part cannot be sourced.

    Welcome to PachiTalk!!

Welcome! . I am sure somebody here can help you either by telling you how to fix or a replace to part. I had a crack in the front upper tray of a machine and I was given lots of advice on how to fix it. Post pics and people will be sure to help.

    Gentlemen:

Here is my first effort at uploading photos to the site:

    DSC00609.jpgDSC00602.jpgDSC00601.jpgDSC00591.jpgDSC00590.jpgDSC00588.jpgDSC00587.jpg

Not the best on the uploading, but I certainly have more. The machine is currently apart with the door frame and other things at the chrome shop (surprisingly quick and inexpensive here in Mexico).

If there is a better way to upload photos, please let me know.

I'm not sure I understand the question. This tray screws into the cabinet and the metal arm acts as support. The remaining parts - the ball race, etc. are on the machine.

He means the hunks of plastic that broke off. Don't worry about it because even if you did there isn't much point in trying to rebuild it as it won't be strong enough.

My suggestion to you is to try to find like a metal bread pan that will fit there and cut a hole to where the track is below. That is the easiest fix as those old plastic trays are hard to come by. They were made out of thin plastic and easily broke over the years.
