Default Could you all help out a newbie?? Maybe rate a couple machines? THANKS

Ok first of all id like to thank you all for the forum and letting me take part I have came accross these two machines and found some info but not really enough.
I think from what ive read that these are older "single shot?" machines that were converted with the trays.(and i may be wrong) And thaus why i am asking for you all' help.
Could you guys maybe let me know what i have and possibly how much they may be worth? Im sure thats a most common question around here huh? lol.
I very much appreciate any help as i am not sure if i want to keep or sell them. One is a Nishijin and one a Sankyo.

    Welcome to Pachitalk.

The Sankyo does not have a specific model but it does have a lot of pachinko balls stuck inside of it.

The Nishijin is a Model A.

Neither machine is considered a single shot or a single shot conversion.

Both are worth about $20 each in that condition. The Sankyo is missing at least one dust cover. The model A picture is too blurry for me to make out much detail but looks complete.

i think you could do a little better then 20 dollers but... the one thing i can see is neither machine works or will work as is.. both need some work.. i se someone taged the model "A" with a $250.00 tag... thats not going to happen..

if i were a buyer i could probably go 30 or 35 with some arm twisting... (sorry CarlW i think there more then parts machines)

    and of course

    to Pachitalk

What you have there is about a 1975-76 Sankyo and a 1974 Nishijin Model A (Tiki). The sankyo is a model B style and the Nishijin is a model A style. The term single shot was given to the machines made generally before the 70's where the player had to feed each ball into the shooter one at a time.

As for value I'd say maybe $40 tops (if you're lucky). I for one wouldn't pay much more than that.

Looks like you have a minor ball jam on your Sankyo machine but it seems like it would be an easy fix. Hard to see if anything is missing on the Nishijin (doesn't look like it).

If you have any other questions just ask. And once again welcome to PT.

the model "A" has problems.. the part we refer to as the paperclip is way out of place.. but im sure with some adjustments and work i would work again..

Thank you very much to each of you. i apreciate the insight. I figured the 250 dollar price tag was a bit rediculous. I came across them and i paid 50 bucks each with zero knowledge about them. i thought maybe i could make a couple bucks but no big deal. live and learn. Thanks again...

Rule #1 when buying a pachinko

    • your first machine(s) will always be the most expensive. It is typical for people who know nothing about them buy them for $50. I have had many people drop off machines who said they picked it up for $50.
