5000 balls at ¥2,500 buy now. Could anyone please give me some insights? Good balls, bad balls (are there different balls at all)? Fair price?

It's a good price. Listed as grade B balls that have been washed but not hand sorted so there might be some tarnished ones. I never pay more the ¥1 per ball. But I should warn you 5000 balls weigh in at 27.5kg before any packaging. But these bulk buys are the best way for us not in the US to get balls.

What would the volume be roughly of a 5000 ball package?

Maybe about the same size as a box of photocopier/printer paper (The 2500 A4 sheets) 20x30x30cm. Depends on the packaging. As it will weight as much as a machine.
