Default Questions about my 78 Sankyo

Made a new thread because the lever problem was solved thanks to all!

    Heres what I did

    - bought 500 balls - $60 but original ones so they dont get stuck anymore
    - mounted hardwooden stands - wanted thicker hardwood but this was already $50 so its ok for now, Think ill paint them or varnish.
    - tried to superglue a broken off screwfix - didnt work so I tierapped it for now

Problems left now are the jackpot for one, it does pay out but not every time. It doesnt fill, should it? I made a vid, its dark here already so sorry for the bad lights.

So why doesnt it fill up and pay out? When it does (like you can see on the vid) it ticks the bell and the balls appear at the front upper tray.

It's hard to see the full jackpot sequence in your video (kind of dark), but it appears to me that one or more of the pivot points on the lower won ball arm or the arm that triggers the payout from behind the center feature are sticking. How much have you disassembled the machine to clean it?

Is it possible to get another video with more light, and one that shows the entire jackpot payout movement?

Heres the video, it looks like something is wrong with the lower arm yes, I have to move it by hand and theres a ball always on it, should it be like that?

Hope you can see it, its not the best time to video sorry. If you need more details ask me Ill take flash pics.

    thanks a lot!!!

the ball that is hanging out on the jackpot arm should not be there..

it looks to me that it is riding in the wrong spot.. it should rind on the far left end and fall off the end and out the bottom of the machine when the jackpot balls are droped..

    take a look at this..

Model "B" how to - YouTube

at the 4 min make you can see a few jackpots cycle and see how the ball rides down the payout arm and falls off the end.. its fast action but it is showen a few times

Ah the ball falls on it and falls off on the left. Mine doesnt. The lever goes up and down but not smoothly. Time to remove the plastics and see why its doing that.

Any tips before I do that? Take pics for one.

    Thanks!

I opened it cleaned it Mopar and you are right. Its the ball not falling. I made some pics of the plastic maybe you can take a look if it looks ok?

I know 2 issues: 1. the paperclip is missing 2. the bottom left screw is broken, I tierapped it didnt work

The issue is theres a ball stuck once a while. If it is it doesnt pay out. I added a pic, put them on dropbox for fullsize viewing

    stuck ball:

When its not stuck it pays out normally:

usually not having a paperclip will cause you problems... but in your vid things seem to be working... so is it working or not???

if your still having problems post a vid of the back in action.. we all know what the front looks like... its the back action that will show the problem

The balls still get stuck on the bottom lever that triggers the jackpot. Somehow they pile and dont fall off.

This is what happens, the right one is stuck.

I cant seem to figure out why it falls there underneath that space the lever moves in.

one rider at a time... there should not be space for two side by side... there sould be a ridge of plastic that keep the ball on the end of the arm.. alos with that much weight they should be bottomed out.. so the fact there in mid travel tells me something else is not right..

seems to me you have more then one problem..

do you have the top hopper full??

yes the hopper is full. I cant see why the ball falls to the right and stacks up. There is a gap but its too big maybe?
