Yes, his next project is designing a steam kettle for making tea.

Good thinking, but I don't think they are one in the same. Robertk6161 is in Minnesota and Bobby Bowling is in Texas.

We have it on a good source that bobby is getting his machines directly from FUN, that cheesy knock-off seller out of Dallas which makes sense considering he's located east of there.
    Meanwhile, somewhere in Oklahoma.

If his machines really do what he says, and I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt on this, then he has done some really clever stuff - electronically. However, I don't think he's done his homework on the market research. Will anyone really want this product and be willing to pay for it?

His second auction (the one for the $499 Thunderbird) has ended with no bids. The first one had no bids either. It looks like people aren't interested in paying more for a "legal in all 50 states" pachislo. My gut feeling is that most people would rather pay less and get a pachislo that plays like a pachislo.

His concept for a legal casino is also a bit dubious. His idea of prizes being legal (like they are in Texas for poker tournaments) doesn't hold water. Here's where he makes his mistake: My guess is that he described his modified pachislos to the state authorities as games of skill. That's why they came up with the the bowling alley analogy (see his website). As soon as they take a close look at the machines and find that, despite the skill stop buttons, the long term payout really is primarily based on chance and only dependent on skill in very limited portions of the play, he's toast. If people had to pay to play AND could win prizes, those machines would be certainly be illegal in Indiana, and probably in most other states.

Now he might legally get away with having people play them for fun. That is, they basically rent the use of a machine for a given period of time with no possibility of a payback. But with nothing to win, who would do that?

The only use I can see for this is selling a mod kit to individual pachislo owners, and, at least according to his website, he's decided to ignore that market.

So, unless I'm missing something, I just don't see a real business opportunity in this.

Last year a guy was selling american slot machine (universals) that were use for tournaments only play, no token or any way to put anything in and nothing comes out.

They had timers to set for the period of play and the winners were those with the highest point count won.

The photo of the inside showed no coin mech. no coin dispenser, just the reels and computer, a plain three reeler. For a american slot really cheap price he was asking, had 10, if I remember right to sell. Warranty and all.

He sold none. If that what people want they could buy a slot machine bank and get the same play.

I'm with you. I don't see why anybody would want a machine like that either. I don't think his Kuntry Kasino would be legal either, prizes have value therefore, I think the gov't will see it just like a regular slot.
