I built a cabinet for one of my vintages and another like it (but much heavier) for a modern. I used a French Cleat attached to the wall studs to mount each one to the wall. I have not had any issues whatsoever with the weight of the machines fully loaded with balls.

A french cleat is the best way to go when mounting something really heavy on the wall.

Thanks, I used french cleats to hang a bookshelf I made in my daughter's room. It was really good for spreading the weight across all the studs as well. My concern in the basement is I really have no idea how well they attached everything. I would actually love to gut the basement but it involves too much mess and the fact I have like no money
