    Smile Flipping Froggy

This center feature has appeared before on the Forum.

    Still kind of fun.

Flips? Rotates? Pivots? Not sure but the frog is always happy... maybe because there are no roads or logs to cross...

I had a Daiichi machine with that center feature. It was fun to play.

DSC_2094.jpgDSC_2093.jpgcame across this on a google search watching the vid. nice stuff. BUT do you have any pics etc without the covers on and/or moving? I have this exact machine and cant get it to work, i have a few broken parts and dont know what it looks like under the sankyo badge in the middle, the clear rocker thing.

also i get a few traffic jams of balls getting stuck trying to go to the rocker and below that when the paperclip pulls up. any tips?

Looks like your rocker arm for the jackpot mech is broken. Those are hard to come by. I think I might have one but if I recall I think it is broke as well. Also you are missing the right arm at the bottom, that paper clip shouldn't be there. I think I might have one of those too. I'll send you a PM in a day or two if I do.

    Tips?

It looks like your jackpot rocker is broke, there is a curved metal piece on the bottom of the plastic (see blue lines) that might be broke off on your machine. I can't tell from the picture.

Also, there is one pachinko ball ( red circle ) that looks too big. They should all be the same size and the correct ones have engraving on them. Try to get all of yours unjammed and sort out any odd balls.

    a bit of advice..

look for a replacement part or part it out... i had a machine that was broken in same place as yours.. the good news is my broken piece had fallen into the machine.. so all i had to do was use epoxy and fix it.. wrong!!! i got it reattached.. i was 100% sure i had it back in place and solid... it took me hours of bending and tweeking to get the metal part so the balls would drop.. after allot of work i got it so i was happy.. sold the machine to a guy that had several other machines.. showed him the repair and that it worked.. he took it and said it worked fine.. but needless to say that is a precision fit part.. sounds stupid but there is allot going on right there..

I have a straight-up Nishijin B with flipping froggy as the center-piece. You might think about moving froggy to a working machine with a less interesting center-piece. I once acquired a machine in great shape, but with a really ugly center, so I replaced it with the center from a parts machine-- that I regretted being a parts machine, because it was so nice-looking from the front-- and ended up with something really cool. They were both Nishijin B. But I'm thinking that a lot of the things like tulips and center-pieces were manufactured not by Nishijin, or Sankyo, or whoever, in-house, but somewhere else, and so are interchangeable.

Anyone who's been around longer know about that last bit?

If the routed opening is the same size, almost always, yes, the parts are interchangeable.

Unfortunately, there are different ones for that model that either payout 10 or 15.

Also, the broken off piece is a piece of metal curved in three dimensions.

Try this thread; post 6 for a similar picture... different model Sankyo

Sounds like it'd be easier to find a new machine to go with froggy. Froggy is fun, I can vouch for that.

I had to part out a Model B Nishijin that had melted parts from a fire. I don't know if there were many jackpot variations...but here is one that I am not using.DSCF7039.jpg Not sure if the trap door will fit your jackpot, or if the whole assembly would have to be replacedDSCF7038.jpgDSCF7033.jpg.DSCF7045.jpg 0.448" DSCF7040.jpg 0.469" DSCF7048.jpg 1.375" Let me know if you think it will work.

Most are the same size (within the same brand). But that reminded me that is the rocker arm that I have. I don't have a complete one for a Sankyo.

The pics on the link above is what i was talking about, look just like mine, i see the pic carl posted shows a whole one, that might be what i need.

The pics above with the caliper there is a metal T looking part, now that looks like mine minus the metal part, im guessing that is the part that is broken off.

Are sankyo parts compatible? this pics look close but there are notable differences.

"Notable differences" probably means they wont work as direct replacements
