It's fun working the machine but it's not clear to me what constitutes the song and dance, blinking lights and random numbers on the upper display.

How did Bell, Shark, Bell on the single line make it play music and turn on all the lights and put the number 37 up? 37 what?

Sure, it was fun to watch and listen to but I think there's more to it than that.
