If I am not mistaken, (as I have mostly single shots, Model A's, and oddballs...with only 1 Model B) if the front loading tray is too full, then an overflow mechanism automatically causes balls to jackpot into the lower tray. The second bell rinds for this jackpot.

I tried to find a video to demonstrate this...to no avail. But, try this: fill the feeder tray full, then drop a few balls into tulips. After a few jackpots, the balls should start falling into the lower tray. That is when the other bell should ring.

Just curious. What does the other bell do? I recon it isn't necesary for operation, but would still like to know...

    no dumb question..

there are two bells if a player is winning allot and the top shooter tray is full of winnings the balls with over flow(insied the back of the machine) and be diverted to the lower tray out front.. when this happens balls would fall and hit the lower bell (the one you are missing) this bell would have a slightle different tone when it rang.. leting the player know balls were being dirverted..

if your machine has allits parts... if the lower tray is then filled up so balls backup into the macine as well, there is a wire that will deactavate the shooter and the machine will not shoot balls untill the lower tray is emptied.. this act is quite rear im home play cause most of us dont have enought Pachinko balls to fill both trays and the hopper... also its my experiance that most vintage macines dont payout that good for winnings to pile up..

    hope that makes sense

Thanks all...I have had balls come out of nowhere into the lower tray. But only when the upper tray is full of winnings. If I ever run into the correct bell I will add it to the machine. I just don't see a need for the extra bell at present. I have no intintions of selling it anyhow. It works fine for me.

I have always been one bell short of a full set in my life. My Pachinko machine shares that fate. Like Father, like Son...

I only have 650 or so balls. I ony use about 400 to play. And as you said, "most vintage machines don't payout that good for winnings to pile up.." I'll go along as a one ding a ling guy.
