Default A Three Star Front Overflow

I recently picked this up and haven't seen a front overflow before other than those made in 1970 by Nishijin. Has anyone seen one or have any information on it as I've scoured the Internet to no avail?

It's now in with this bunch I moved into the shop at the house we just bought and will be moving into next year. I still have six machines at home and will be picking up a Chicago Coin Mini-Baseball tomorrow. This is my retirement stash I've been collecting (sounds better than addiction).

'retirement stash' That's a good one. I'll have to remember that term the next time my kids give me that exasperated sigh and eye roll.

My kids will understand my "retirement stash". I take after my grandfather. He had 10 of everything. I picked up a moped in May, why are there 8 of them at my house now? Same with RC cars. Got one, and a month later there's 23. I fear it will be the same with Pachinko machines now too... Already at 2, when two days ago I had none. haha

I'm afraid I can offer no information on your machine. But I'd love to see pics of the mini baseball posted to the appropriate PT area. Probably pinball?

Very cool three star machine you found there. 3 Star was a very small company that poped up in the 50's. I forget who they were tied to exactly. But in the 70's they kinda stopped production of the normal machines and partnered up with Satomi to make the computer pachinkos and arrangeballs. The regualr 3 star machines are therefore kinda hard to find. I have seen a few over the years and they are always really funky. Great find.

Also let us know when you hit the 100 mark on machines. This is what my garage looked like a few years ago. Now I have another line of them across the top and a whole bunch scattered everywhere because I'm running low on room.

    100 machines and counting...

There will be lots of photos once I get set up in the shop. If I spread the machines out a little more I could make a bed on top of them and never have to leave my little friends.

It's a Quadmatic, the same as a Four Square but a different cabinet design. There are two Elevenses and two clocks, one looks like a 6-Win and the other looks like a 12-Win. The cabinet is in bad shape and I haven't decided whether to rebuild it or make single cabinets for each machine, the crackle paint is difficult to do anything with. The bright side is all four games are complete and with the deal I made on it with other items that I've already sold the Quadmatic along with a Bell-Fruit Cascade, another game from the U.K, didn't cost me anything.

Photos will be posted as soon as I get them sorted out.

Nice collection you have there! I've noticed on the Satomi Computer Pachinkos that Three Star is on the cabinet lock bezel and on the ball shooter trim in two places. I thought this was an oddity as there isn't much information on the Internet on them as well as it being a front overflow.

The 100 mark for Pachinkos shouldn't be too far away. Here's what I have now:

    27 - Pachislos
    71 - Vintage Pachinkos
    08 - Early Modern & Modern Pachinkos
    03 - Computer Pachinkos
    02 - British Allwins
    01 - British Quadmatic (With 4 Allwins)
    01 - German Rotomat
    01 - German Rotamint
    01 - British Bell-Fruit Cascade
01 - Chicago Coin Mini-Baseball (Roughly The Same Size As A Computer Pachinko)

If it's cheap, buy it (as long as you have an understanding wife).

Some of us have gone overboard!
Just check out the pachinko owners database, its a sticky thread under modern pachinko
Of course I wouldn't do anything like that! .

    just stop counting at 25

I'm lucky to have a very understanding and supportive wife. She goes with me on most of my quests, if she's not working, and wishes me luck on the trips she can't make.

The search, the trip and then the score,
Who could ask for anything more.

    Rain, hail, sleet or snow,
When the Pachi God calls one must go.

Ridiculously long trips for just one machine,
A lot of you have done it so you know what I mean.

Pick up your treasure and it's homeward bound,
To take photos and document what you've just found.

Then add it to the rest of the waiting Pachi hoard,
This is great fun and I'm certainly not bored.

A stash of Pachi's and an understanding wife,
Everyone should have my kind of life.

Sorry, sometimes I get carried away!

    Overboard? What's that?
And I wouldn't do anything like that either.
Whew ... I was never any good at Math but I'm pretty sure 71 comes before 25 so I'm still safe ... What a relief ... I was beginning to think I might be in the overboard category, whatever that means.
