Default Nishijin model "C" EX5 (Ex-change machine) with 5 interchangable cells

this ex-change machine popped up locally on CL for $150.00 a few days ago and I instantly sent a response, then after a day of intense waiting got a message back and proceeded to arrange a meeting
mechanically its fine, Its in really dirty condition with sticker residue along the bottom of the frame, light rusting in a couple of spots and the usual wear and tear, and some of the decals on the "star wars" cell are loose and need to be reglued.
But all in all, its freakin' awesome!

Here are some pics before any cleaning has been done, (will repost shiny clean cell pics when possible, as well as the backs of the cells)

I'm jealous. That is a cool thing!
Funny how some of the cells say 13 and others say 15, any say 11?

    none of these do,
but I've seen one on this forum that does pay 11,but it was a model "B" Ex-change
im still researching if the payout mech is adjustable (but so far it sounds like its not)but once again that could be the "B" model only

You had one of these before as well, correct CarlW?

    It is adjustable.

Look at the payout tray You will see that there are two metal tabs that can be moved. and can be manipulated to any combination from 11 to 15. My Hanemono is based on the Model C and has the adjustable payout mechanism. My Cell is an All-11. I temporarily set it to ALL-15 to make my Gaku Counter "accurate" but it made the machine WAAAAY too loose.

It is simple, but the screws are of dubious quality and it's easy to strip the heads. Be sure not to over tighten. The metal tabs slide into slots, so the screw is only there to retain the clip and it should not be over tightened. I've settled on keeping my machine at the "All-11" as designed. It appears the cells are "designed" so that the cells with the smaller payouts, payout more often... My hanemono set to All-15 was almost impossible to lose with.

Always good advice! I will probably not touch it just to be safe

Ordering from Juno is a definite sign that you are beyond help...I ordered my Yamato 2 cell from him and it couldn't have been easier.

OOPS! I was having problems after adding that link, so I just posted it and started again. That link is compliments of Drunkenclam! I bought the one from Turbogn88 (New Guy, Need help) shortly after that post, drove from Dayton, Ohio to northern Kentucky (about an hour or so drive), and bought it for $50!Mostly model C 023.jpg Miyamoto Mushai I don't think mine has the ability to change cells, but I haven't checked lately...I think I would have noticed when I cleaned it! You made a fantastic buy with all the extra cells! I would have jumped on it in a minute! Even if I had to skip an electric bill payment! Since you are more an "early modern" collector, this set (for lack of a better word) is PERFECT for you! It is like having 5 vintage machines to get the feel for what a vintage is like, without hogging up all the space that you need for your Hanemono collection!
