I have noticed that after a fever, the tulip on my "Rose of Versailles" opens more often and stays open longer. It might be the same for yours. Somewhere on this great website is an explanation of pachinko game play. It rules and modes. Maybe the FAQ?

It's the sub roulette system that opens the center tulip
It looks like the gate is directly to the left of the screen ( nondescript little thing)
When the ball passes through some indicator lights somewhere will start oscillating back and forth between a positive and negative result (the appearance will vary depending on the machine)
about every minute or so it will stop,
Positive result opens tulip, negative result does not
It usually can remember up to four times ( not sure if it can be more)
But the tulip will also open a lot more during certain bonus rounds

Thanks all..I found the gate and I dropped a ball through it and nothing happens. The gate has lights next to it that don't come on so I think it's not working I unscrewed the gate plate and it looks like it is connected but can't tell if it's completely connected

I would like to just open the glass and run it to test a couple things but this ungodly loud alarm comes on and yells at me in Japanese until I close the glass again

Scared the crap outta me the first time I heard it lol

I'm not yet convinced that's where the lights are they are not usually right next to the gat like that ( although they could be) ill look at the Jurassic Park machine in the same frame when I get home and see if that will help locate them ( sometimes they are even in the video screen)

Daleinbemidji, can you remove the glass from the bezel? If so, then you could close the bezel, the voice would stop, and you could put balls in the gate.

By the way, do the tulips open, ever? Even if for 1 second every 5 minutes of gameplay?

The tulip never opens even for a a brief period of time I figure a relay is broken somewhere along the line. I haven't tried just pulling the glass out that's a good idea

The indicator lights are usually minuscule and have tiny writing around them

Found it on the Jurassic Park
It's the red light to the right of the Jurassic Park logo near the white ring of light, its has numerical indicators as well as writing

Ok I do see that

Not sure what it means that one of them is lit but it is on the right hand side just like the Jurassic park machine

When I got a ball through the gate, the red light starts going back and forth between two spaces, and the number indicator starts making lines ( I've never been able to figure out what it all that means( other than one red light position is a "positive" and one it " negative" )
but if yours act the same way I bet its working right, just being stingy)
Do a forum search for sub roulette, there should be a better description of what it all means
