Default Is this "broken" Takasago Pachislo machine worth it?

Hello all. I own 5 Pachinko machines and can't get enough of them. I recently came across a Takasago Pachislo machine for sale. The seller won't take anything less than $75 for it, however it does not work. He couldn't go into detail about what is wrong with it, except that it "doesn't pay out" and "might need just a reset". I got the impression he didn't know what was wrong with it. I am very good with the mechanical workings of vintage Pachinko machines and I am an Electro-machanical Assembler by trade. My only concern is whether or not it might be a simple reset or something worse, like broken and irreplaceable parts. He says that "the door can be opened with a screwdriver" to get inside the machine. Any info or tips on this machine? I don't know anything more than it is a Takasago Pachislo and hope that you guys could help in my decision to buy this potential new toy. Sorry for the poor photo quality. Thanks in advance for the help!

    Hello

I just posted in the other thread that I believe that one is called 'Kinkaru' and was made around 2002 by Abilit / Takasago

It's possible it may just need a 'hard reset' as sounds like the Seller doesn't have the keys to perform a reset perhaps?

But who knows, it could be something else, sorry I can't advise much on this one,

or help with the price (I'm in the UK) but other members will no doubt chime in with advice for you

I had a machine that didn't payout. I had to change the main psu. But that was on a sankyo model. I had to order a replacement from Japan. And I'm also in the UK

The reset key could be what he's referring to.

If its the key on the psu. It's simple to replace it with a toggle switch. Just isolate the power. Remove the unit. Open it up. Unscrew and replace. There are more detailed threads on the forum
