Yeah...I don't think so It's not even based on the real Yamato series, but rather an attempt to resurrect the franchise by one of the original creators during a huge legal battle that occurred over the rights to the franchise.

The Dai Yamato pachinkos (Dai Yamato 1 in the Victory Frame, and Dai Yamato 2 in the Lumina Frame) were attempts to create buzz surrounding this new anime. In fact it was these machines that actually launched the story line...

More details on this saga can be found here: Leiji Matsumoto’s Dai Yamato Zero-Go | CosmoDNA

The actual "official" Yamato machines would not make their debut until 2007 with the launch of CR Yamato 1 by Fuji. Followed by CR Yamato 2 in 2009 and CR Yamato 3 in 2010.

The latest Yamato pachinko is based on the 2009 Yamato Resurrection film and was produced in 2011 by Sankyo.

Sorry, the second link is wrong. The Yamato Resurrection pachinko is mentioned here:

3 months ago I would have been interested. When I found out about it being based on Dai Yamato, my interest waned.

    1. The Yamato in Dai Yamato Zero Go looks ridiculous with it's huge wings and engorged saucer section . Of course a literal "space battleship" is equally ludicrous, the same way a "space pirate ship" and "space steam locomotice". But I can accept the current Yamato design, but can't accept the Dai Yamato configuration.

    2. I have since purchased a CR Yamato 1 based on the familiar Voyage to Iscandar storyline, and just recently purchased a CR Yamato 2 cell based on the Comet Empire storyline. Both of these "games" are technically superior to the Dai Yamato game which is 2 to 4 years older.

Finally, swapping a Lumina cell, although relatively simple, does require numerous electrical harness disconnects and lock releases both on the back and front of the cell. In comparison, a Fuji OvalOne cell can literally be done in seconds. Open the glass, unlock two locks, pull the cell, install new cell, lock two locks, close the glass. No electrical harnesses to remove, no hidden locks in the back...Simple pure and easy...
