Ridge Racer "error message"

Hi, after not having switched on my RIDGE RACER for a long time, it played a strange Music and showed a police car and stuff on the Display and a female voice was saying something on japanese after switching it on some days ago. As i had this situation before and was able to get rid of it by switching the "on"/"off"-key and doing other things, i tried some things again (can't remember exactly what i did as it is some days ago). Now the Display is dark, most LEDs are lit and there is no Music. When i open the door a japanese voice is saying something! As i remember this whole behaviour has something to do with security features or something!? What do do?- Thanks for the answers in advance!

I'm not sure what the problem may be, but have you tried doing the full 'hard reset' to see if that will clear it??

I agree, sounds like a "Hard Reset" would solve your problem.

...the instructions don't work, because the RIDGE RACER has only one button inside to rotate the hopper. Beside that button there is a two state switch, but changing it's Position visibly only changes the state of one led!
Only turning the reset key (according to the instructions) doesn't change anything!

I think 'Ridge Racer' is by a manufacturer that I'm not too familiar with

however, this link to a PDF Pachislo Operations Manual does contain information for specific manufacturers near to the end pages

You may be able to see one that looks most like your set up inside and that may help you to reset & change odds

...thanks, now I found the reset switch inside the door. it is completely white and looked like some fixing part. Now the machine is running again!
