I agree that a grand is way over the top for an early modern deji pachi

If that we're a working Bf-1 control system on the lower back instead of a BC-2 system it might be worth slightly more than an average machine of that style and age simply because they are notoriously fragile and tend to go out ( I've got two machines that could use one) the shooter will not work if they malfunction

I am amazed that some people will have a starting bid of 1k and the will not even provide a better description of the item offered in the auction.

The seller's notes is just loaded with euphemisms. Allow me to paraphrase:

“The pachinko machine has normal wear."
The pachinko machine is filthy dirty, has broken parts, and wreaks of cigarette smoke. In other words, F'ed.

"In good condition on the outside with most of the wiring and covers on the back."
The glass is still transparent, and I tucked what was left of the loose frayed wires up under the cracked plastic on the back.

"There is a top tray blue cover missing."
There is no ball hopper, tape a milk carton in its place. (as an aside. if it is missing, how did he know it was blue?)

    "No key."
I broke it off in the lock.

"Works and lights up except for the ball retracter."
Hums loudly and sparks on occasion, the shooter smokes a lot.

    "Will need some electrical work.”
It catches fire if plugged in too long.

    lol

Too bad you're not closer. I'd like to take a shot a fixing one. Usually, when electronics are considered 'fragile', they have some sort of common failure. Fix one and you've fixed them all.

Thanks so much for the offer
And I agree %100 with you about it possibly being a specific failure

I actually bought the second machine, thinking it was in working condition, in order to fix the first machine which is a great hanemono, turned out they both have the same problem
I have found a guy that still does VCR and older model TV repair here locally, and if he's interested I might let him take a crack at both machines ( if he can find a commonality, he could possibly get people to just send him the control box for repair)

I always find it interesting to see what "other items" the seller has. The same seller also has a plain/dirty looking model B up for $100 that most of us wouldn't spend more than 20-30 on(unless there were lots and lots of spheres to go with), so the $1000 machine isn't the only think he's over valued.
