Default What's missing from this '70's-vintage Kyoraku?

    Attachment 69566Attachment 69567

Attached are photos of a plastic case containing relay parts from a '70's-vintage Kyoraku "Night and Day" machine I recently acquired. I'm new to the world of Pachinko, but I have enough knowledge of electrical components and things mechanical to know that the box contains the electromagnet from a relay without anything for it to activate. Someone had to have removed the linkage between the relay and the lever at the far left of the plastic box. It appears that if the relay were activated and the lever were pushed to the left, the bottom of the lever might block balls from being put into play. Can anyone tell me what the relay is supposed to do?

    Thanks,

    Bifomo.

Thanks for your response. I didn't see the pictures in my post, but the file names were at the top of the post and I was able to open them up. I'll try to load them again.IMG_1288.jpgIMG_1287.jpg

the piece thats missing is not really needed the problem is when your macine is now on balls it will not shut off the shooter like other machines.. most of the vintage machines have a mech that manualy stobs balls from entering the shooter if the machine is low on balls.. yours has this electro mag that would shut them off..

So what you're saying is that if I keep track of how many balls are in the "payout" bin (or if I don't really care, since I'm just playing for fun and not going to win anything anyway), it really doesn't make any difference, since the relay would just block balls from being put into play?

"pay out bin" being the top back hopper.. yes so long as it always has balls in it your golden...
