That is not too far from me, a few hours drive. I will be heading that way around the middle of next month. If it is still available might have to check it out.

I will let the Americans in on a secret, and if you want this, you better act fast cause you know somebody is going to grab this up soon.

Contact a UPS store, Mailboxes etc., Postal Annex, and so on that is near the seller.
Call them up and explain the situation. They can, for a fee, pick up the item, pack it, and ship it.
Of course, if you use your own shipper (Fedex, UPS, etc) account, it can be even cheaper.
If there are several of these "shipping stores" local to the seller, you can get competitive bids.
You already know the general dimensions of the pachinko, the weight, and where it is going.

For packing, I would suggest lining a sturdy box with 2 inches of beadboard or EPS billet. If shipped flat, the pachinko should survive that.

I came close to buying one of these a year or so ago. The shipping turned out to be the issue from the West Coast. I wasn't really looking for another modern right now but, like I said, if it is still around when I am driving by, I may stop and take a look at it. Actually have my eye on some really interesting older games right now though.

I seriously doubt that machine will ever be mine. But at least it has a good home.

Yeah, I used to feel that way about moderns...Until I played one. Now my stable is 75% modern (if you count the Hanemono as modern).

I found that I love to work on vintage, but play on modern. There is something about cleaning up and restoring a vintage that's hard to describe. I have a special place in my heart for my 71 Nishijin bowling. It looks fabulous with the replacement background. But right now, my 07 Yamato is getting the majority of play.

The 2007 Yamato is actually a yupachi version of the game with 1/99 odds so it fevers quite frequently and has a lot of side game modes and entertaining features. I have but scratched the surface. From the promotional materials there is actually kind of a story mode that runs throughout the game. So I have plenty to do.

My poor Star Wars machine...It is a standard version that predates the introduction of Koatari. It's odds are ridiculously high at nearly 1/500 so there is a lot of idle playing before something happens, but when it does decide to payout, watch out. It has a very high continuation probability and I have been on the machine for litterally hours in Kakuhen mode winning bonus after bonus.

Thank god for payout computers. I can enjoy the bonus round without worrying about refilling the machine, then refill after the bonus ends and watch the machine payout all it owes me.

Strictly speaking... IMHO your hanemono is a modern. It has a shooting motor not a flipper...
    ok, "early" modern...

I probably feel the same way. I have an early modern that is fun to playThunder Dragon 002.jpg, and a modern that just keeps taking balls and making the parlor money!001.jpg I don't remember the odds...but I only "fevered" once...just after loading up BOTH front trays. This was before I got a Daverob dongle! I wanted to have plenty of balls to lose, and not have to keep refilling the tray. After about 50 balls, it started paying out like mad. I couldn't empty the trays fast enough to keep the top hopper fulland the alarms going off whenever the balls were too low! Needless to say it wasn't a very fun Fever! That was the only fever I had on it ever. I'm sure there are a lot of better moderns that I would like if I got a chance to play them.
