Also, its probably a stepper motor, the type used in old floppy disk drives, robots, and pachinko machines.
You will probably need to get one from a parts vendor or a similar pachinko machine.

What exactly is a stepper motor? And what if I have some floppies laying around? Could I part the drive out for it?

Depending on the type of shooter, some are stepper motors where the motor does partial revolutions and halts, A cam is connected to the end of the motor in which each spoke on the cam pulls the hammer back against spring pressure and fires the motor.
On my Nishijin Hanemono, it is a straight up motor but there is a cam at the end. The motor itself is wound so that it does exactly 100 RPM. There is one "lever" on the motor so each revolution of the motor causes the hammer to fire.

Like I said on your earlier post, you really have a challenge trying to piece together a shooter using off the shelf parts. It would have to be a massive jury rig and you don't have a lot of room to work with.

Your best bet is to see if someone has an old shooter assembly from the same manufacturer and frame type. Another outside the box option is this. MOST early moderns were actually built on "vintage pachinko frames". That is the backplane and internal mechanics were almost identical. All they did was add a motorized shooter and tack some electronics and animitronics on the machine to make them "modern".

If you could find a late model vintage that has a similar or identical front door as your machine, the room might be there to take out the automated shooter and put in a manual shooter. You would end up with a weird hybrid machine, but it may be easier to get it functional that way vice trying to find an electrical shooter.

If my hanemono ever dies, and I can't source another shooter from the same frame, I'd look at jury rigging a vintage shooter into it. (That is if the front tray between the vintage and early modern is really close...)

Well, you would need one of those old 8 inch floppy drives. I think the stepper in the 5.25 drives is too small.
You can imagine a stepper motor as being a digital motor. That's really simplifying it all.
Plenty to choose from on ebay, now if you only knew the part number.

I actually have old floppy drives around, any idea on voltage to those? I measured the voltage on the cable going to the motor area and it's 6 volts. I'm thinking something like this motor with a cam might just do the trick...

Are there 3, four, or five wires going to your shooter motor?

I am in a similar dilemma dealing with a possible burned out motor on a Taiyo modern pachinko. The best information I have found so far is to possibly find a translation tool for the company's pachinko // pachislo // slot machine // gambling machine site, email customer service and ask if you are able to buy the part + the price of the part including shipping to your country. While I may have little experience in finding imported pachinko replacement parts, inquiring from slot // pachinko // gambling machine stores and the manufacturer has been the advice others have told me to try.

    Good Luck!

There's basically no documentation on this machine is the problem. I'm pretty sure my current plan will work
