Default Bitsy Eva 7 - Which wires to use for volume control?

I have installed several volume controllers in my machines, which have all been around the 2003 era. Now I have a Eva 7! It's a great machine. Unlike my other machines, the speakers are not exposed and are blocked by plastic. Does anyone know which wires on the back I can splice into to attach a potentiometer? I think the wires are grey.

    Thank you!

I cant seem to edit the post so ill add this here. I found this photo from 5 brothers pachinko. The resolution is low, but this is what I am going for. I can't make out exactly what is going on though.

I've got some pictures of where the wires are on the v-trigger frame for mounting vol controls, also have them for just the cell as well. I'll post the pics as soon as I can find out which memory card I put them on.

To mount volume controls on the v-trigger, or v-spark frame is fairly straight forward.

You will first need to remove a plastic protection plate, and unplug the power supply to have access to the wire plug.
    Step1.JPG
There are two small phillip head screws that hold the plastic plate in place, remove these. Then unplug the power supply (white push plug immediately to the right).
The power cord runs in the plate you have just removed. Let it stay there, however the power cord runs in a channel along the left side of the frame.
Pull it out of the channel, and hang it out of the way.

    Step2.JPG

Next locate the top black plug under the plastic plate you have just removed. This is where you will splice in the volume controls.

    Step3.JPG

After you have located the plug you will be interested in the 3rd, and 5th wires from the top on both the left, and right side of the plug.
Go down about 3 to 4 inches on each wire, and insert your favorite volume control. Best to solder the volume control in, and encase the connection
    with heat shrink tape.

Wire 3 on left side controls the UR Speaker Wire 3 on the right side controls the LR Speaker
Wire 5 on the left side controls the UL Speaker Wire 5 on the right side controls the LL Speaker

I usually insert the single or double pole volume controls (depending on how you wish to control your speakers)
with extra wire, as you will need to route the controls to another location.
    Step4.JPG

After you get your volume controls spliced in, route the wires for the controls under the plastic plate
label the controls, and place where you want them.
I like to mount mine on the under side plastic of the frame, or on the base of my frame.

Then just reverse the steps to replace the power cord, and plastic plate.

Thank you so much! I searched so much for the exact info you just explained. I even searched in Japanese (although it is limited) and couldn't find anything. I really appreciate it.

Installed the volume controllers tonight. I used the recommended Daverob's cermet trimmers. They work great! I would have liked to use the guitar style potentiometers, but I hear the can start smoking! Here are a few photos, not my best work but the functionality is perfect.

This post is extremely helpful. Saved me loads of time. Used that extra time to build a bracket and cover the wire bundle.
