fires are bad this year

we have had or have a close fire in every direction this year

He's usually around on facebook

on the 14th he posted there and he said the fires were about 17 miles away from him

He last posted Sunday but he did 'like' one of my FB pics about 11 hours ago, so I presume all is well

I may just drop him a message and see how he's doing

I messaged Eric, he is fine, fire is still about 15 miles away, but lots of smoke

he is hoping to catch up with us all soon

to be honest I'm not a big fan of facebook, but I use it for my crafting promotion

and it's an easy way for me to stay in touch with certain PT members from time to time

So i recommend it for that

Hank finally got a job at Walmart in electronics dept a few months ago and he's happy working there

Well, my home is out of danger, although the "American Fire" is still burning about 15 miles away. My big fear is the "Rim Fire" which has grown to 146,000 acres as of this morning. It's burning through one of my favorite places in CA. We visit Tuolumne and Stanislaus counties so often we bought a vacation home there, and my in-laws actually live in Stanislaus County. Two years ago, they sold their home in a community called Hardin Flat. This morning, I learned that home burned to the ground along with the adjacent Berkeley Camp that's been around since the 20's. It's sad how much history and scenery are being decimated. The north edge of the rim fire is now only a few miles away from our vacation home. Our last guest vacated yesterday and the area is being evacuated, voluntarily for now, but pending a mandatory evacuation. All I can do is wait.

I hope they get it under control and out asap!!! glad your ok hope your vaca house is ok
