    Default And another web site.

I was told a long time ago, there were only 2 reasons to be in business...to make money or to have fun. If you're not doing either one, get out.

A couple of years ago, in a brave but foolish effort to get out of the hell hole I work in, I bought a CNC router and started a business. Well, it hasn't made any money, and it hasn't been that much fun. So after being told over and over again to "do what you love", I've decided to turn my efforts to the more 'fun' part of the equation. Many of you have seen the results of my efforts in other posts on this forum in the various covers I've made. It's time to make it official:

    pachinkoparts.com - Home Page

First thing you will notice is how ridiculously simple the site is. That is by design. And four parts doesn't really make much of a business, but it will grow. You'll also note by my pricing that I'm not expecting to get rich off this endeavor. I've also tried to stay away from items that are available on other sites. Not trying to step on anybody's toes, at least not yet.

I though about grabbing various web pages and adding them to the links page, but I thought that might be a bit presumptuous. If you would like your page listed, message me or reply to this thread.

You'll also see a 'Local Repairs' page. This came from the "Who wants to repair/restore for other people" thread. If you'd like to be in this list, message or reply with your name, type of machine (vintage or modern or both), repair or restore or both, and your contact information, whether it me email, phone, or both. But please note that this is a simple html page and it will be easy for spammers to mine your information from it. You have been warned.

Questions and comments are welcome. Wish me luck. No doubt I'll need it.

It's always nice to see more options for Pachi related items but I'm getting a Server Not Found error when I try going to your site.

I wish you the best of luck with your venture and hope you manage to see some return for your efforts.

I'll check periodically to see if the site is up and running.

You need to probably double check to make sure you made your site public. (or that the URL is correct. Hopefully it is. )

Anyways I can't wait to see what you have there.

    100 machines and counting...

The embedded link is wrong. The actual site is pachinkoparts.com - Home Page. The link in the message links to http://www.pachinoparts.com which doesn't exist yet.

Of course pachinoparts.com might be of interest to anyone who wants cloned parts of famed actor Al Pacino. But I guess that would need to be called pacinoparts.com.

Ok, bad joke...but pachinkoparts.com - Home Page does exist.

Good eye. I didn't even look at the URL.

The pricing on parts is more than reasonable.

Thanks p.opus. I was going to edit the original post, but I can find any way to do that.

Prices are outstanding. It seems most of my work is Nishijins, and I look forward to seeing you expand your parts list. I have bookmarked it as a resource for parts and will definitely use if you offer parts I need.

I sent an email to Mr. Buttons and no reply. Something must be done...

Seems a little selfish to occupy both stools.

Thanks for fixing that. I'll be adding the link today, I just didn't want to do it without word from someone at PT

I really didn't want to gouge anybody on prices. I just couldn't see charging more than $5 on a non-critical part for a $25 machine. This one's not about the money. It's about the machines and the people. EDIT-prices might go up if my employer figures out they really don't need me.

Good new is, I have a Nishijin model B to work from. Bad news is it's in many pieces, so any part I built from it won't get tested for awhile. If you need something specific, let me know. I can work from an original part, even if it's broken.

I drug an old bar stool out to the shop and every time I went to sit down, his fuzzy butt was on it. So I brought a second one. It didn't help.
