    Default Golgo13 E4 hopper error

I have a Golgo13 machine that gives me an E4 error every time it dispenses coins once I manually turn the hopper either way and reset everything is fine until the next time. It appears to be pushing out one coin part way causing the error I have taken the hopper apart checked and cleaned everything what else may be causing this issue?

Could you post a picture of your hopper? Under the hopper, showing the springs and sensor. Also, remove the "bucket", (top of the hopper), showing the spring loaded wheels.

I'm guessing it's a Hime hopper. They are used in Heiwa/Olympia machines. Your problem could be a missing or broken spring, (there are two of them). Or, a bad connection. Or, a bad or dirty photo sensor.

First thing I'd do is clean the photo sensor and check for anything obviously wrong, (broken spring, loose wire, etc.). Be gentle in cleaning the sensor, some window cleaner on a Q-tip works well. Also, reset the connections.

There is a lever that passes back and forth through the sensor. That is what counts the tokens coming out of the the hopper and how many tokens to pay out. If it doesn't count anything the machine goes into an error code. So, either the sensor is bad or something is not letting the lever go back and forth.
What if...the HOKEY POKEY, is what it's all about?

Sorry it took me so long to get back on this I took a look and the underside of the hopper and both springs were still there but were pretty worn out I replaced them and it is working perfectly again. Thank you for all of your help.
