HELP! I have a Tomb Raider machine showing E-2 on the credits screen.

I have what I guess is a 2006 Tomb Raider skill stop machine that will not accept coins most times and when it does it will not play, it just displays E-2 code on the credit screen. Does anybody have any idea what this means and how I might go about fixing it? I'm not sure if it will help, but I have posted some pics of the machine I thought might be pertinent. Just in case the lit LEDs on the various boards might mean something bad or add clarity to the error code. I appreciate any and all help that is rendered.

Have you tried a full reset of your machine ??

Most errors an be cleared by completing the full hard reset

On iPod but I'll try and link you to a post with the reset instructions

Ok, I know which one is the bet credits button, but I do not see a play credits button. There are 2 silver buttons on the left side of the machine but I cannot tell what they are, maybe you could tell me which one if either one is the play credits button? Do you actually know what the E-2 code refers to? I have to go back to the shop to try hard reset instructuions as the last instruction were different and i think probably incorrect, if that does not work do you have any other suggestions I might try as well, before I come back and bombard you with questions again? Sorry for that btw, Im VERY new to trying to work on these machines, and doing it for a friend. TYVM for all the help thus far!

Yikes sankyo/Bisty error codes. I'm on iPhone. Not the best for searching. But enter E2 in the search field and see what results you get.

Okay I've never owned or played a Tomb Raider, so I'm not familiar with the model itself

However pachislos generally operate in the same manner, they just sometimes have error codes that mean different things between different manufacturers and sometimes the buttons for resets, etc are in different places, etc

As you are new to Pachislos, you may find the following link to a PDF pachislo operations manual useful to print off and keep with the machine, it also gives info and has pics regarding different manufacturers towards the end. You may find one that looks like your set up.

It looks like an E2 could be a Hopper Error?

If the proper hard reset including Odds Setting doesn't clear it, then you may need to start trouble shooting the hopper

it could be anything from not using the proper tokens to having dirty sensors etc, you may need to double check the connections by unplugging and then reseating them

But i'll let the more technical minded members guide you with that
