take a min and start your own thread... please post nice clean pics of the back of your macine.. even if you have to post 4 pics.. one of each corner.. bigger is better for details.. also please do your best to describe when the machine james.. its probably need a good cleaning..

Don't know about payouts, But most of the time its because its got a built up layer of dirt, Remove and clean the ball paths would be my first thing to do, Also check to make sure you don't have any oversized balls hiding in your collection.

Early modern type Hanemono machines go through balls like crap through a goose. You'll need at least 300 or so to fully test the machine and to play it with any amount of time, you'll need to fill it up (800+).

I would say that 90% of all pachinko malfunctions are due to either dirt, or not enough balls. I recently got an early 80's Nishijin 'Hit Parade' Hanemono style machine and the guy had 15 balls. Nothing at all was wrong with the machine. I think he was kind of bummed out. I brought 300 of my own balls and he was shocked when the machine started "working". "I didn't know it did all that"...

Of course by that time, he felt obliged to sell it, but I bet it hurt.
