new to forum, need asistance with Pachinko machine.

Hello everyone,

I am trying to fix/get working my fathers Pachinko machine as a surprise to him. I am a PC/Network Tech by trade and have a little bit of experience working with electronics. However pachinko machines were obviously never covered in my networking degree so I am a bit lost on this. I want to fix my fathers Pachinko machine as a surprise for him to put back on his bar in the basement but I cannot for the life of me find anything on the internet regarding this machine. According to my mother it was last working about 10 or 12 years ago and then something stopped working (obviously) it lit up but the balls wouldn't shoot. So I am assuming there is either a motor bad or jammed somewhere. Now unfortunately I don't see any power cord, though I have found a spot (with writing in Japanese) that says 24v, so I assume this was battery powered. So I need some help from you guy if possible on maybe finding an English manual, finding a power source, and then once its up and running possible helping troubleshoot the thing.

All I know about it is that these are the names all over the machine, Kinda has what looks like a T-900 terminator on it. I believe my father got it between 1995-2000

ya have an older mordern pachinko there..

it should have a transformer to provide the 24 volts.. they were never opperated on battery..

please post a few good pics of the back.. most important the lower section..

looks like the power cord got pulled off the transformer..

if your lucky you can just solder a new coard on.. or your probably going to have to replace the transformer

Nice early modern there. If you can get it working, your dad will be pleased. To fully test the machine, you should have at least 300 balls. That will ensure you have enough in the jackpot hopper to test the shooter and to test out your payout functions.

Once you get it working, then I would make sure I had enough balls to fully fill up the jackpot hopper and the upper front tray. (approx 800 balls). These early moderns really go through a lot of balls paying out during fever mode and you want to be able to keep up with the machine once it starts.

Most people sell "broken" pachinkos when in reality 90% of the time they either have a simple ball jam, or not nearly enough balls to clear all the "interlocks".

I just bought an 80's early modern from a guy close to me who got it from a friend of his with a total of 15 balls. He said he could never get it to work. I brought over about 300 balls and everything tested fine. If he had room for it, he probably wouldn't have sold it to me once he saw I had it working.

So the good news is, if it powers up, you've got a good chance of getting it working. The bad news is if there is something electronically wrong...well then you have a piece of art.

Ok any idea where to get said replacement transformer? And as for balls I got plenty of those things. not sure if its 300 or 800 but there are ALOT of them. I had to take a few of the back covers off of them to get at balls that somehow for around the mechanics of the machine.

check ebay or online 110 to 24volt 4amp transformer or higher for an earlier machine like that

Hiding behind that long ribbon cable on the back of your machine is a clear controller box.
In white, printed on the front, is a whole lot of Japanese.
That Japanese is your machine name - get a photo, and we'll be able to translate.
