OK...I knew it was something basic. Boy do I feel stupid. It just needed balls on the front bin to use to go up. I think it is all working now. I'll test, but boy are you a help! I would have been stuck forever without going through this. Thank you!

Any idea what the upper green light is for?

Any ideas guys what this is worth? I paid $40 for it and it seems to be working just fine now thanks to Card Shark. It would be fun to know.

    Don't get frustrated

Getting the machines up and running again is part of the fun

Watching the video should give you a basic idea of how the machine works. They really are not that complicated. The next step is identifying the areas that are not working as they should. You are already on your way to doing this.

Fill the machine and take a picture of the back and front with it loaded and I will take a look. Try to keep the picture as close to 2 megs without going over that size. I think that is as large as you can post.

You will probably need to post each picture in a separate post for this to work.

There are 2 lights, one in upper left and one in upper right. The left is red and orange (low ball light), the right is dark green and light green. The side lights do come on when there is a jackpot, I just have not seen the green one at all.

I agree with Mopar. eBay is the easiest place to get more balls. I would suggest at least another 500 for best results.

Will do! Thanks so much! It was very nice of you to help me and get me going. I am so glad it did not really need anything other than a user with knowledge.

Glad to help. Congratulations on getting it up and running. Now the real fun begins. A quick warning that I was given when I got my first machine, they do tend to multiply quickly.

    to Pachitalk.

Looks like a nice 1977 Nishijin Model B (My Life) you found there. I have never seen that center feature before, I guess his life is all about gardening.

$40 was a good price for that machine. Value, it varies. It all depends on the market around you and the rarity of the machine. And Nishijin model Bs aren't rare unfortunately. But not knowing your market it is probably worth $75-100 if you list it right.

If you have any other questions feel free to ask. And once again welcome to PT.

Yes, they do seem to act a bit like tribbles. I had 1, then 2 then 3, then 4, then 5 then 3 again.

The person I sold two of my vintages to has over 30 machines. Looks as if he is trying to be the mxfaiman of the florida west coast. Had to build another room. I'm surprised he's not a member on this board (or then again...he may be.)

The bottom line is, unless you implement some sort of population control for your machines, they will reproduce behind your back, or so it seems.

It looks like you have different size balls in that can. The machine will only work properly with one size. They should be 11mm. I suspect the larger ones were from ball bearings and not actual pachinko balls. Try to clear all the balls from the machine and only load the correct ones and see if that solves your problem.

Edit: Whoops. didn't see all the posts before I wrote this. If you've already weeded out the odd size balls then you're good to go.

Please ignore my previous post. The picture of the balls was an optical illusion... or old eyes playing tricks on me. Glad you got it working. Looks like it's in great shape!
