Sounds like Ebay to me all over again with all the different shipping charges.

But that's ok as like arby says there are costs and certainly no one is in this to lose money.

I personally would pay more like arby does and get the first class service that he is getting.

I went to have my machine shipped by sea for 130 and they said they cannot ship it due to the size by sea so you can either have it shipped by SAL for 260 or EMS for 360.

It seems to me opinions are abound and the facts are so few!!!!!! Maybe this might help. I have owned a trading company in Japan for more than 10 years. We ship items daily ranging from a few grams to several tons. The truth of the matter is THERE is NO package that is TOO BIG to ship ocean frieght. While sea transportation is certainly slow, just about anything you can think of can be transported in this manner. We have shiped to and from Japan over the years, about any size and shape item you can think of. Time in and time out YAMATO Transport is about the best our rate 55lbs. $105. Sorry to blow some of the angles that I see forming but we have done our best business by keeping it REAL. Hope this might help you guys work things out.

It is real fine that Walter gets a cheap price for water shipping, of course he talking volume, not one box.

Me, personally, I donÂ’t care if the cost by water is cheaper, I donÂ’t want it by water, than in port you will need to have it ship to your home (more cost). And I did hear anything on Insurance cost for this boat ride or the conditions it would be under. We see the machines as they come now, and the difference in the condition, is night to day.

The EMS cost that I pay includes: the Insurance, Box (they arenÂ’t free) Bubble wrap, tape, drilling the relief hole for pressure and donÂ’t forget this is being done by someone. Than it needs to be delivered for transportation here.

How much would you charge to do this, and donÂ’t for get the bidding and arranging the delivery of the machine to my Friend Kiaigumi in the first place.
He does it all for 10%, it is pretty cheap by my standards.

My Friend Kiaigumi checks out the seller & condition of the machine, before he bids and follows through with email updates and all.

Plus gentlemen, you donÂ’t have to buy in the first place, you can wait till they are cycled it here and sold on ebay or vendorÂ’s site.

When I want something, I buy it, I donÂ’t pizz around about trying to getting cheap water rates (no insurance).

The insinuations here are boundless, but it just talk, and talks cheap!

I have yet to get a machine in this country as good of condition, as I get from Japan.

Even MORE interesting! Thanks for your update, Arby! Good analysis of the process and I'd rather be assured I was getting the machine in good shape and willing to pay a few $$$ more, too.

I don't worry about giving Kiaigumi, $2,100.00 at one time for a group of machines. Where a few around here that talk a good show of angles, I wouldn't trust with $10.
