Default Nishijin Model A single Shot conversion

    Here's a rare one.

    Model A single shot conversion.

Kind of rare to see the single shot conversions to the auto feeders.

I like their uniqueness, but they are a bit ugly... . The single shot conversions look like they were kludged together.

Backfield needs replacement and it looks as if some of the tulips may need replacing. Also this may have been worked on previously. The upper jackpot ball supply gate looks like it's been replaced as it doesn't match the other components.

Priced too high, but it would be interesting to see what could be done with this machine.

Wow, that is the EXACT model being sold. That top tulup is really unique. And those plastic lower jackpot pockets will be a BEAR to get off if you do a background replacement. You'll have to be really careful taking those off.

I found in my 70 front overflow, they had similar pockets and they snapped right off.

my 71 had newer pockets that had nail holes through the entire pocket instead of just the thin plastic tabs this one has. I had to buy replacement pockets. Luckily the replacements have the nail holes through the entire pockets so they will be much more sturdy.

Yeah, those add on recyclers don't help the machine's appearance at all. Interesting though.

They are NOT the most attractive pachinkos! I do however like them for what they are...a factory modification to fill a need of the time. I wouldn't call them RARE...but they are fewer in numbers. I,m not sure what part you mean when you say "upper jackpot ball supply gate". everything looks correct on this machine. I wanted one pretty bad, and bought the 1st one I saw for $50. I was the only bidder, probably due to the broken tray.SBC 009.jpg Later, I found another one...can't remember what it cost.SBC 017.jpg This one has a clear (frosted) door instead of lime green. The button to dump upper tray balls to lower tray is different as well. It also has 2 extra upper pockets...but NO green and orange tulip! The green & orange tulip starts closed, opens left, opens right, fully open, then closed again. One of the cooler variations of the tulip!
Just in case you don't know...since the single ball conversions were originally a single ball machine, and the feeder tray was essentially the only modification...balls pay out to the lower tray. You have to hand feed them from lower tray to ball feeder tray...they DO NOT pay out to the upper tray at all. This is not a problem, if you consider what it is...a solution to fix a problem.
They are not attractive, but I am a fan of them. here is the post from my 2nd one...can't find the 1st, but this post notes the differences between the two. Max has a few...more variables than I expected!
here is some pics of the damaged tray from the 1st one.009.jpg007.jpg008.jpg
