    Exclamation Need a Part!

Well a few days ago a guy brought me a 76 Sankyo that he wanted cleaned and functioning.

Overall it is in nice shape (apart from someone's playfield mods.) It was missing a few parts on the back. But after looking harder I noticed the Jackpot rocker arm was broken off at the end. So now I'm stuck with a challenge. I have mainly Nishijin machines, so not many Sankyo parts. I found another sankyo mech but the arm was also broken on it. So I either need a mech similar to the ones pictured (has to have the arm intact) or the clear rocker arm.

Here are some pics of the machine.

Here are some pics of the mechs I have.

Unfortunately as you can see the mech bases are slightly different. Only the clear arm works in the all clear one and the blue one only works in the white base. And you can see the slight differences in the 2 arms. So I either need a whole mech or just a fully intact clear rocker arm.

So if someone has any sankyo jackpot mechs please let me know.

    Thanks.
    -Max

    No one? Really.

I guess I'll have to do it the hard way then. I'll have to modify the mech and make it so a Nishijin rocker arm will fit.

Have you tried Vintage Pachinko? I got my A jackpot supply tray from them. Their "museum" they have posted on flickr seems to indicate they came across a fair share of Sankyo's. Maybe they can help.

I haven't emailed Billy yet. Though I don't really want to end up paying over $30 for the darn arm. As it won't take much to modify it but the owner wants to try to keep everything original.

Of course CarlW would end up having one.

Those cyclic's he has have almost nothing left in the back when he's done with them.

Ouch, truth be told, the cyclics happen when it takes two or three parts machines to make one working machine. Then I'm left with a box of parts that I'm compelled to save, for non sane reasons.

I like a playfield of what's left and can scrounge up a working shooting mechanism and viola! Cyclic vintage... should be called phoenix instead maybe, sounds more exciting than a two wheeler...

Whatever works, your cyclic vintages are beautiful and sometimes necessity is the mother of invention. Your phoenix's give life to machines that otherwise would have none. Good job.
