Ahhhh.......I had always thought they were banned. Don't they fall under the ruling about flamables.

So that dork Richard Reid is the reason we have to leave our lighters at home, as well as take off our shoes at a security checkpoint.

All because he tried to light his sneakers on fire... with matches.

And matches are OK to take on a plane... because he might have succeeded if he tried his stunt with a lighter, but didn't succeed with matches.

Some things are just hard to figure out when it comes to the government.

The government said they couldn't find matches in the suitcases or on a person so no sense banning them. HELLO!??? Instead, they banned lighters, since they CAN find lighters when going through security. DUH!
