Default Nishijin refurbish with extra part

OK, I finished a cell replacement and thorough cleaning of a Nishijin model B but I found this partXtra partside.jpgXtra part flat.jpg in the box and I have no idea where it goes. I took tons of pictures during disassembly but it doesn't show up anywhere. The machine functions perfectly and no balls fall out where they aren't supposed to. It appears to be a track shield but looks like a pivot point on it. Any ideas?

Can you post a picture of the front and back of the machine. Might be able to figure it out from there.

I recognize the part... Not absolutely positive since I've sold or donated all my Nishijin B's since. But it looks like the part that covers the lever that goes up and down with each winning ball. See where the green arrow is pointing in the pic. One of mine would jam there frequently, so I always left it off so I could move the lever up & down.

Thanks Chumsize. Good call. I'll check it out as soon as I get a chance. That probably explains why everything works perfectly without it.

Just to put this to rest, Chumsize was absolutely correct. The part is a cover over the arm.
