Rambo Pachinko No Video or Sound 1/4 lights Please Help!

I just recently received my 1st Pachinko machine in the mail, Rambo & it has several problems. There appears to be no power going to the LCD. The only sound that is coming out the speakers is a repeating pop sound, kind of a 4/4 tempo. No actually game audio. And only 1/4 of the lights on the front of the machine are working. Just about the only thing that does appear to be working is the trigger/fire mech. I have check the fuses and they appear to be good. I have also re-seated the 1st layer of cables, all the ones you see at first glance without totally taking the machine apart. Like I said, it's almost as if there is no power going to the cpu or lcd. Does anyone have a picture of the backside of a working Rambo unit they can post? I plan on posting some pictures of my unit tonight after I get home from work. I'm really hoping it's a simple cable issue that I'm not noticing & not that something got fried. Any help would greatly be appreciated. And I look forward to getting my 1st machine up and running. I am the member here who posted the youtube videos that you had a question about your machine problems and I do apologize for not getting back with you sooner I did get my Rambo Pachinko out of storage and fired the old girl up and took some snaps of the back of the machine at the power (24vac ) input board ( the one photo with the green light showing and a photo of the ever important CR Dongle .

out of interest, what transformer are you using. I once tried a 150va on a newer star wars. That did pretty much the same thing, Not enough juice to run the machine I think I measured the transformer as only putting out 17 volts

TakeTheCastle57, please take a look at my first picture. See the slot labeled "CN5" on the circuit board (the word LED on the plastic shroud almost points directly to it), do you have any cables plugged into that slot? It's 8 pin connector, 4th connector over, starting from the left. If you do, where does it go? I don't have any obvious wires laying around, unless the other end is tucked away somewhere. Also I've attached a picture of what functions/lights up when I power the machine on.

And this goes out to the entire board. I am absolutely amazed at how helpful everyone is. Thank you all very much.

Looks like TTC has that lead on his machine, But can't see where it goes

Thats says a 5A transformer, The machine is rated at 200va Thats 8.3A. Even if thats not the problem and your missing lead is. I would still replace it with something bigger, Or it will get hot after prolonged useage.

DrunkenClam, do you recommend a larger stand alone transfomer kind of like what I have now(mounted)? Or do you think one of those 24v wall warts would do the trick?

I'm in the UK so I have to use 240v to 24v But all of mine are stand alone type. Most toroidal style. But a more powerful version of what you have would be fine.
I'm not sayiing your transformers wrong or faulty, But if it were me, I wouldn 't use it.

Well I was able to duplcate the front lights fault ( But no blue Lights in the upper right ) I disconnected one of the cables on the following photos and took some shots of the cabling behind it . The missing cable was for a clear cover door circuit that possibly would be hooked up to a Battle counter in the Japanese Parlor or hook up to the Pachinko Parlors Mainframe computer .

I like to talk to the designer of this machine and ask " Why all Brown wires and White cable plugs "

About a year or two ago I bought 6 each 120 vac to 24 vac 9 amp transformers from I think it was Gaku so I do have a couple spares

Well I ordered a new transformer and fuses from Amazon last night. They should be here by tomorrow. I figure it's a starting point. In theory I can see how a new transformer could help but until it arrives & I can test it, it only leaves me with more questions. If it turns out to be a transformer issue, why would it only power 1 or 2 of the components on one particular circuit board vs. all or nothing for that particular board? Did what I say make sense to anyone else? lol I can see if there wasn't enough power to run the LCD board but for example when trace the wires that TakeTheCastle unplugged to duplicate my issue, they run to a smaller circuit board with 4-5 connectors. One powers the tank movment, some for sound, and I'm assuming the others power the bezel lights. Why would only 2 of the features work on mine? That takes me back to my previous statement, I could easily see if it was all or nothing, if it was truly a transformer issue. I guess I'm just worried that maybe something got fried & it's not going to be that easy to fix. It's not like it's that easy to come by pachinko machines to begin with, let alone replacement parts. I did manage to re-seat every cable last night & made sure everything was plugged in tight. I even turned the power on before I put the lcd/circuit board back into the framework to get a better look. I appears not to be receiving any power at all. No faint image, no white line, like others but the cpu fan on the back works? I'm stumped. TakeTheCastle, I might have to take you up on your offer and buy one of your transformers if my new one doesn't work, epically since you've seem to have pretty good luck with them. Thanks again for all of your help. If you have any ideas, keep them coming.

The same transformer I used on star wars I also had on Cutie Honey that worked fine for 30 mins. Then the screen went black except for the reel numbers. But they didn't spin, just flashed. And the sound kept dropping out. But the shooter still worked and so did the payout. Anyone who does any work on computers know that graphics cards are power hungry and heat sensitive. The star wars didn't even power up. I had to fit a 250va (10A) to get that one working.

The transformer that cwheel0 is showing is the typical 5amp one used by Slot-Pachinko by Power Volt. That particular transformer powers up the following that I own: Galaxy Railways, Eva 5, Ultraman, and Yamato 1.
Now Power Volt makes AWESEOME ones, as I have about an 8 amp Power Volt Heat protected one on my
Cutie Honey. I WISH you could by from them directly! But alas, as far as I know, you can't and there are no distributors near me that sell them. This link is on a few threads here but to save you some time...

Just some information that is useful. I know the ones that Five Brothers uses are 9 amp I believe as that is what they told me when I asked and they do weigh a lot that is FOR SURE...

Drunkenclam, weren't you scared that you were going to fry your Star Wars by bumping up the amps? LoL. Who knew how much trouble a transformer could cause.

Its only the power rating thats changed, not the voltage. Like putting a bigger battery in your car. Its still 12volts, But there is more power in the system.
