    1940's Japanese Pachinko

I really don't know jack about pachinko machines but this looks like many of those common ones from the 60's to me.

I think that one's a "Rolling Stone". The only reason I remember that is that someone here was planning on steampunking one

Yep that is a 1973 Nishijin Model B (Rolling Stone).

Basically it is common knowledge that you probably will know more about the machine than the seller will. (which is an advantage) Like most the time sellers put in "it works" I can't tell you how many times I show up and it doesn't actually work. Their definition of working is it will fire a ball usually.

    100 machines and counting...

Also last time I check there is no such thing as a "fake" pachinko machine. (maybe the epoch toy ones but that is about it. But they aren't very similar.)

I want to know what fool told them there were fakes out there.

Probably his grandfather told him a story. Or more likely, he made up the story because it made sense to him, rather than the fact his grandparents bought it at Sears in 70's.

Maybe he has been to Germany, or his parents have seen Pachinko machines in the bars there, and just assumed they were "fake" because why would Germans import a game from Japan to put in the bar? Pac-Man was never popular worldwide, who why would pachinko be.

Well, it's only $1.00...right! Why do people do that...say $1.00? Drives me nuts!
Just put down the price you want! Well, you know it's not a fake...look at all those water stains!
