A guy gave me a sanyo vintage pachinko locally. It is complete but after removing the back cover plate seems there is something missing from mechanism that releases the jackpot ball that has fallen into the rejector in the rear. any pics or ideas?

that metal pin is supposed to rest up against the large white lever above it. when the jackpot balls fall on the large lever it releases the jackpot ball in the bottom. you want that metal pin straight up and down. Should be a small groove in the plastic that is slides through. I found one like that one time, and did it to myself another time after re-assembly. Should look like this:

Yes there is a slot on the back of the cover that encloses that mechanism. I guess that is where this rod rides. I was just wondering if anything was on top of that rod since it seems a little short once assembled. I will try making some adjustments and see what happens.
