    Default Vintage Sankyo Flying Carpet

Hi everyone - I picked up a vintage Sankyo Flying Carpet pachinko machine at an estate sale from a woman who died last year. It was restored in 1994, is in perfect shape, and works perfectly (we've been playing with it for the past two hours). I'm wondering how much this might be worth? I can post photos if needed. Thanks!

    to Pachitalk!

Please do post some pictures when you get a chance. It sounds like what you have might be an early modern machine though.

I can't feel comfortable giving you a price at the moment because I have no clue what the machine looks like so post some pics and that will help out a lot.

It's not vintage - it's an early modern.

These sell on eBay from time to time, and vary in price based on condition.

    Anywhere from $100-150 with balls.
There is always another machine around the corner...

Hey nice - I got it for $50! I think it's great but my wife hates it so I might have to list it...

Good price for an early modern. If it is fully functional I'd go with candyflip's price. I'm not too knowledgeable in the modern machines but around $100-150 seems like a fair selling price.

p.s. It was actually made around 1992 by Sankyo and would have been used in a parlour in Japan for anywhere from 6 months to 2-3 years, before being withdrawn,
so wasn't 'restored' then. Most likely it was still looking absolutely brand new in 1994 and for sometime afterwards.
It could have made it's way Stateside immediately after this, or been in Japan until only very recently.
Most likely, it has never needed to be restored at all and has always been in this condition, save for a clean or three.

Take all claims about when a machine was obtained, and how much it is 'restored', with very large grains of salt.
Providence on these machines is very difficult to establish accurately and only vintage machines, or moderns treated very badly indeed,
    even need restoration work.

edit: just saw your FS thread, so it appears it arrived in the US in 1994.

Very interesting stuff! I never saw one of these before this morning. Too bad my wife doesn't like it like I do ;-)
