Intro and my Instant Connection.
Greetings,
I have been lurking for a few weeks now, wanted to take a moment and say hello and share with you who I am.
I am the leader of a small charity, AbleGamers, we help people with disabilities gain a greater quality of life through the power of videogames.
So we were presented with an idea, to do "Pachinko for Charity" @ PAX-East, a gaming event in Boston that has 77k people attend.
Anyway, I went to the internet and found Akinono.com was "close" to me. (Frank was great and very helpful)
We picked up
Yamato 2 (Star Blazers)
Superman Returns
Ghost Busters
Genesis of Aquarion
Kung Fu Panda
Evangelion 7
Spent the next 3 weeks building some stands that were a little safer than just a few 12 inch boards. Really wanted to make sure that they were safe, really did not want coming down on someone if the table was bumped. Had to find some folding tables that could hold some weight (yes they make them, 4 foot tables that hold 850 lbs each). So long story short we got it all hooked up, used 5 of the 6 we picked up!
Anyway, just got back from the event. It was a huge success, we raised $17,000 in just 3 days!

Anyway, that is why we are, and this is how I became a member of Pachitalk. I am working on some ways to improve it for next time so I am going to have some silly questions soon, and I hope the community can help me with answers.
