Very cool. I like that you can mess up the bonus. It's clever features like that the keep the player coming back for more.
I think there were multiple locations and if memory serves there was one in the great state of Texas.

I noticed earlier that the "L" pocket on the lower center had a micro switch that triggers as the ball goes into the #1 slot, and started playing with it
Turns out it changes the numbers in the upper left (which correspond with the payout, just not totally sure how yet) when getting multiple balls into it,I was able to get up to 5 coins back!
This machine just keeps going on

Wow. Cool center. Monkey & Alligator again. It is odd to see this theme used again more recently. There must be some sort of folk tale, or the Japanese are so fed up with monkeys that they want alligators to eat them.

    100 machines and counting...

Sun Wukong, the Monkey King from the Chinese tale, 'Journey To The West', could be the inspiration here.
Only thing is, he didn't really fight many crocodiles.

However, 'wani' (sea devil) in Japanese is taken from the Chinese kanji which actually means 'crocodile', and the Monkey King spent a lot of time fighting 'wanis', amongst other devils and miscreants.

You don't see a lot of 'horror' themes straight out on vintage models, as I guess they had to appeal to both men and women back then. Perhaps using wani crocodiles was a way of gently representing the devils the Monkey King so often battled?

    just guessing...
There is always another machine around the corner...

Yeah, I was wondering how and why those numbers changed during the first vid.

I want to change the fuses just in case something could be wrong with them,

They are both made by Fuji
One is a 1A fuse and the other is a 3A

What kind of voltage do they need to be?
    Are they common or rare?

    Thanks

Probably nothing wrong with them... fuses either are blown or are working. But... its always good to keep spares around. They're rated on amperage and have a max voltage - usually 250v. Just get ones the same size. If you can see the element inside, make sure the replacement has the same type. The 3 amp on the Satomi is a run of the mill fast acting 3A with a small wire element inside.

Thanks Chumsize, that will at least save me a trip to radio shack tonight
Still going around cleaning everything inside
And I think I have the payout lights in the upper left corner figured out finally,
Will post about it when I confirm

After playing with it for a bit last night,I realized the payout lights were not syncing correctly with how many tokens it was paying out, plus I was unable to combine winnings from multiple rows that I had completed within the round of play
This lead me to undo my repair and try another combination ( I had one severed wire the could possibly connect to two different posts that had broken solder connections)
Now the payout numbers sync and I am able to combine winnings on multiple lines with a max payout of 10 coins!
There is still the issue of "row c"
    But I'm making progress

I'll make an updated video after work showing the difference
As well as pics of the broken wire area

PS: does anyone have any proper sized tokens they would like to sale?(perhaps around 20 or 30) just send me a PM
(The gold dollar coins are a hair bigger and will jam in the coin mech, so they are only good for payouts)

on my Fuji Arrangeball I have been using UK 10p pieces, they are just a teeny tiny bit large for the slot, but I put them in and just a flick of my fingernail and they work

pic shows scale (I could post you some but they'd take a while from UK)

Has anyone ever considered putting together a custom token run from one of the suppliers around for a run of "Pachitalk" tokens? It might get pricey to get the dies made and all, but it could be cool if enough people ordered them. Get a mix of 26.5mm for Arrangeballs and 25mm for Pachislos? Maybe start a new thread...

Thanks so much for the offer Hanabi, Looks like I've got a stateside solution at the moment thanks to the generosity of a special someone
I'm also going to try regular quarters and see if they work
But if I'm lucky enough to ever stumble upon another machine I might have to hit you up then

Their is a place that I found on line that sells all kinds of already made tokens. I am sure if you look you can find one. On my fuji I have had mopar adjust the coin mech for tokens, quarters, and dollars. The dollars have always worked the best. And I have had to file on at least two of my coin openings for them to go thru. If the dollars are hanging up regular tokens will probably work. Do not use the thin ones as they will jam. Their are both thin and thick tokens out their.

    great ideas guys! ,
and due to my profession (painting and finishes) I happen to have way more than enough sand paper, abrasives and files( don't worry though, I learned a long time ago less is more, and you can always shave off a bit more, but adding something back is usually a very unpleasant task) if even possible
Taking a mental break fron the arrange for the evening and have already got the ligths up and running on the model C (it took sanding the fuse contacts and replacing two bulbs)now it all cosmetic

will post videos of both machines very soon

PS: $20 is awesome for any working machine KKirby, If I can provide any assistance, just let me know (I'm in northwest Dallas ,just south of you)
    and Welcome To Pachitalk!!!

Thanks to an offer by Alpha that I couldn't refuse, I now have this machine. Working on the bugs at the moment and managed to resolve one of them. As Alpha received it, only one side of the arrows would advance when a ball entered the top pocket. Someone clipped a wire right at its tie down point which made it hard to see. Anyway, I soldered it back to the micro switch and now the arrows on both sides advance properly. Also a ball in the lower L pocket adds one to the score and lights the number 1. Now on to the other issues...
